I could easily relate myself to this video. Like Arthi said, I started using dishwasher recently. Previously, I use dishwasher as a storage for dish 😂 Also the movie part, it’s been 4 years since we watched a movie in theaters. I can’t wait for beast 😀 Planning to watch it in theater!

Hello AP. Awesome video!!. I have shared the videos in family groups who will now know our reality. Some US KZbinrs( May be green card/ citizens) (two people working with high salaries)just wanna boast of their life just as show offs . They will always show their luxury homes, Holiday cruises etc. so obviously ppl seeing such channels will have an opinion like that . I think you are the only ones to show our struggles. Your channel is raw/real channel. Kudos!!!.

Whenever I get a call from India, first question asked is how many crores I saved. In reality, my son is going to college in 3 years. Iam in H1B. I need to pay more than $200000k for college fees. Only thing I see in US life is life style changes. 7-5 work for most of us, luxurious car are cheap and can spend time with family(no other go). If you buy a home in non metro city in US, its bigger than what we get in India. Real estate in non metro cities are cheap. Now my indian friends are getting handsome salary in chennai and banglore saving good amount of money which is more than my savings. Believe it or not its the truth.

But இத சொன்னா, அவ்வளோ கஷ்டபட்டு ஏன்டா அங்க இருக்க வந்துடுடா னு சொல்லுவாங்க! என்ன பண்றது… one more concern in living USA is climate … due to the cold weather we may not be able to walk to the shop near by and get groceries! In the suburban places car is mandatory .. But just a perspective on positive side, though we don’t get help like India for house hold works, slowly we are learning to do everything by our own! I think this is good! We can also appreciate the healthy air water (comparing to Chennai) and less crowd and so people talk to you with respect and courtesy (sometimes we miss this in India). What about roads and traffic rules (I don’t think I can drive in India but I am fine here)

Good content AP, loved this Video. American life will test all immigrants and future aspiring citizens with the complex systems of the land as life travels, as you age in this country 1.) Immigration System, 7% cap for Indians (Most of your videos touch on this topic,), 2.) Education System (Young kid playschool/preschool fees, College Kids fees for 4 yrs fee comes around 100-150 k for 1 kid) 3.) Retirement system as you touch age 50 and above and no more competitive in the job market (A good 401K saving for husband and wife around 500k savings and above is needed for future life) and with house mortgage closed 4.)Healthcare system(Delivery, emergency and old age Medical treatment especially after 60+ any major illness,people spend around100k+ on specialty treatment) 5.) Tax System In a scenario where a person started to work around age 30 to 50 in the US , 20 years of his saving say (25k * 20 years = min 500k )..all the savings won't be enough unless both of them work in family, or you invest really well and plan your finances, else the above complex systems will test you financially and mentally creating anxiety as US life goes compared to Indian middle-class life. Being said that if you are career-oriented, Take adequate risks, Invest differently, make your family less dependent on you, and not following the crowd, then the American dream is for true. Hope you agree? your thoughts AP.

If she spends whole six months here and coming back within 6 months again may raise lots of questions in immigration. I have an experience at Miami airport. One old lady was traveled with me and I helped her for immigration here. The officer asked me to help the lady to translate his questions. The first question he asked is she visited 6 months back and again she is revisiting USA, what is the reason for coming back again? Somehow we managed (we should not tell the officer that she is visiting again for taking care of children’s) and answered questions, However the officer called his coworker and took her into separate room. Not sure what was happened for that lady. This is happened back in 2014.

Hi AP, the part you said about savings is much relatable for me. But some things are different in my view. When I compare the 'work life' balance in India vs USA, that's better in USA. While in India for most of us the commute was too much, also had to work weekends too. If someone is coming from a wealthy Indian family, then they will definitely find it difficult to do all the household chores by themselves. In India also, I used to cook , clean almost all days , so got used to it. In fact from my teens I had to do so many chores at home. Here there are a lot of cooking gadgets that could reduce our time in kitchen. Dishwasher is much useful if we start loading / unloading on a schedule every morning and evening. In India , kids' safety is a big nightmare. But here we can you can depend on school bus, you don't have to go and pick up from school like in India. Buying expensive property in India is impossible. That's true. Also loved the way you told how our relatives , friends complains why we couldn't visit them ☺ Time flies during vacation. No one could understand. Thanks for this amazing video.

As a person who live in USA for many years: financial discipline is very important especially when you are in USA, you get far more buying power with relatively less interest rate compared to what we get in India. It is easily to get enticed and fall in the trap. credit card debts - RUN AWAY it is a trap. they say 0% interest rate but you will pay 10% application fee (banks are not idiots) - it was very hard for me to get out of it. All said and done, USA has been kind to me (barring USCIS), hardwork gets paid more here than anywhere else. Who cares anymore what people back home think - also to be fair on them, it is not possible to comprehend for them on the challenges we face here - so I can't blame them. it is the nature of the beast we signed up for :D

I understand in a family of 4( husband wife and 2 children), if 1 member is earning then it is difficult. But if both are earning I think it will good, we can plan better things and future. Unfortunately, US and it’s failed immigration system doesn’t allow spouse to work unless GC is filed. To all the spouses out there, if your husband/ wife is coming to US on H1b then please find out what are your options to find a good job opportunity for good earning. To spouses ..... do not hesitate to get your husband/wife i140 started. AP thank you sharing your candid emotions!!!

Good points prem 👍 education seems to be free but if we want to provide extra items to kids like Kumon ,indoor/outdoor games that cost will match with India's education cost .We are having luxirous life in USA but Indian hotel ah weekly sapturathuku rombha yosipom :)

To be honest, Cost of buying house, living, tax is too high in India too with very bad infrastructure and extreme corruption. We have nothing to save here in India too

Most of feedback i heard if you work big corporate insurance wont be bad so what u saying on hospitals expenses for pregnancy is not very clear
@ArthiPrem
@ArthiPrem 2 жыл бұрын
Hi bro Yes corporate insurance are better But differ from each companies Say my first daughter bill was low due to the good coverage since it’s from different company
@rajiradha5659
@rajiradha5659 2 жыл бұрын
Depends upon the insurance the company opt to. Less deductible, less copay but higher premium or high deductible, high copay with less premium . If the out of pocket is high , you can request the hospitals to lower the bill and also request them to pay monthly without interest in a period of 1 year .
