Thank you for this interview. In testing times for our faith and church in general it is inspirational and uplifting to hear a great insight into the person and spiritual person Pope Benedict XVI. Like Jesus he was born to serve, instruct and lead us to Heaven. His Love and sincerity was a shinning light for us. I will miss him and our church will miss him but at least God gave him to us. Agreed. He did his job incredibly well. JP2 just ignored everything because he didn't know what to do so to divert the agenda he travelled. He was pious but I doubt saintly. I think his Sainthood should be demoted to Blessed.

The NO is actually a very reverent liturgy and what makes it even more special is that we the Body of Christ have a much more active participation with it in a very communal way. God’s blessings emanate throughout the NO Liturgy we just need to ask the HS to dispose our souls towards humility and allow Christ to work in Us during the Liturgy. It’s important to prepare ourselves and not simply sit passively or engage in private devotions and prayers during the Liturgy. It’s not a spectacle nor something only the priest does. It’s an engagement of the entire Body of Christ. If churches are empty, which I don’t see, it’s not because of Jesus, it’s because people care more about the visible then the invisible, mammon than God.
