This horrific accident profoundly saddening. My thoughts n deepest sympathies are with all the families impacted by this tragedy. Just heartbreaking n you did a great job Connor reporting this even we all know it's very hard n emotional to report something tragic like this. What makes us weak makes us stronger in the aviation industry. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Connor, you did a fantastic job showing the true emotion you feel right now. It’s not something to hide and so so important to acknowledge. My biggest hope is that we learn to move on with answers, safety progress, and higher morale. And as always, keeping those affected in thought right now

The last time a total loss of a US Airliner was Colgan Air 3407 in 2009. It's been 16 years. It really felt like total-loss us airline accidents were a thing of the past. The extent of this tragedy is inexplicable. Especially with an aircraft and airline with such an incredible safety record. None of those 67 people deserved to die at that time in that way. Beyond tragic.

Actually it was 2019

@ No, the last total loss of life onboard a US Airliner was 2009. Absolutely nothing happened in between 2009 and January 2025 compared to either this incident or Colgan Air 3407.

@@millerkarns oh okay sorry I thought you were meaning a totaled aircraft

@@millerkarns yeah ik

@@aviationlaa No, but I should’ve clarified. You’re not wrong for thinking that because that’s technically what that means. There have definitely been quite a few totaled passenger jet inocente between now and then. Between fires, mechanical incidents, runway overrun/excursions. Definitely still plenty of those.

Last plane crash that fatal on US soil was Colgan Air (I forgot number) but it was a Q 400 from Newark liberty heading to Buffalo that noise dived into a suburb. It was a United express ran flight. It was 2009

Colgan air 3409 into Buffalo. Pilot error. They didn’t hold the sterile cockpit rules. Hopefully no one on the ground died for their lackluster flying

The last major us commercial aviation accident was in 2009 and the last commercial accident with a fatality was 2019

Is it morbid to be curious how the people died ? Could they have survived the crash but drowned?

This is so embarrassing. I can’t believe the expert pilots with thousands of hours of training were above the assigned 200 feet. I hope it wasn’t a terroristic event or intentional.
