American Arbitrage Makes a Mistake & Blames Seller!

Today, I take a look at a video by American Arbitrage where he doesn't pay attention to the deal he's making, then backs out after the vendor is already paid and pocketed the money.

I do agree…I should’ve paid better attention. I was confused, which is partially ( mostly even) my fault. The deal wasn’t a great one to flip, and me thinking that other set was in the deal just barely made it worth a shot in my book.

Here's an anecdote for you: I once found a beat up bike on the side of the road a few years ago. It was sitting in the same spot before and after work. So 8+ hours along a busy road. I snagged it. Tossed it up on Craigslist for $10 with a few pics and a fairly detailed description of all the numerous issues. Basically was being sold for parts. A guy came to buy it and after I showed it to him in the driveway, I walked back in with my $10 and he called me back and said he didn't want it, it was more work than he thought. So I gave him a refund. Only $10. Not a big deal. I told him to keep the bike. 😂 I mean it was free and I didn't want it, so might as well save it from the landfill. 🤷

@@steviefreakinc I could have made a fuss or haggled, but it's a guy trying to buy a bike for his kid. I told him it could be a repair project for the both of them. Obviously having some money would be better than none, but it's such a small L to take, I didn't mind it, wasn't going to argue. Although I have argued with Walmart over $120 they kinda owed me one time. They were quite awful but I eventually won. Long story, but my stubbornness paid off! 😅

Normally I agree with Steve but having had faced a similar situation recently I'm gonna disagree this time around. Went to a restaurant last week that had half price appetizers. Ordered three appetizers. When the bill came it was like 50 bucks. I pressed the issue with waiter. Who did a horrible job of explaining that the stuff I ordered wasn't on the half off menu. Then she complained when I gave her a 5 dollar tip when the recommended tip was 8 dollars. She knew I was there for half price appetizers. She at any point could have and should have notified me that what I ordered wasn't on special. Idk about you but times are hard. To lose 50 bucks on one meal when some people spend that in a week for food. Why do people gotta hustle others like that? There's a special place in hell for deceptive people like that.

Gonna disagree here. The seller was pretty vague about what coins were included. The buyer should have been more attentive and clarified but once it was evident to the seller that the buyer didn't get what he thought he was getting - just give the $20 back and move on. "Too late" is a bad answer, f that guy.

watched a few of your vids,. just curious what you think the overall desired outcome, or "in a perfect world" scenario is for a reseller, whats the percentage of final value sale makes it appropriate? 40%? 60%? 80%? or should every reseller donate their inventory and apply to a 9-5 and everyone only buys from amazon or walmart.
