East Carolina fan here. Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium was actually renovated in 2019, where they added a giant 5 level tower on the side opposite to the upper deck that has about a thousand luxury seats and a press box. Also I believe Tulsa’s nickname is the Golden Hurricane due to the massive amount of wheat fields in the area, but I’m not 100% sure about that.

Originally, Tulsa wanted to be called the golden tornadoes, which makes sense since Tulsa is located in Tornado Alley. However, Georgia Tech was using the name at the time, so they went with Golden Hurricane instead.

The UCf stadium was originally called bright networks stadiums when it was sponsored by a cable company. The cable company got bough out and was changed to spectrum stadium . Navy-Marine Corps Stadium has names of the major battles the Navy & Marine Corps fought over time on the upper deck facade. There’s talk of Temple getting their own campus or off campus stadium but finding enough land & funding it are issues. Thanks for another video. I've always thought that Navy second deck of seats were sit too far back. Should've been moved forward a little to create more of a overhang with the first deck....The same with SMU. The second level of seating should've been raised up like a true second deck....USF and Temple need their own stadiums. Something similar in design to Tulane's would work....Also, Memphis needs a new stadium too.

Just to correct the record on the Memphis segment, he stated The University of Memphis has been in the Liberty Bowl since 1965 "AKA the beginning". I don't know if he was referring to the Tigers' "beginning" or the Liberty BOWL's beginning, but either way he is incorrect. The "Beginning" of the Memphis Tigers was 1912. The Beginning of the "Liberty Bowl" was in Philadelphia, and moved to Memphis in 1965. The Tigers started playing on campus in 1912, moved to Crump Stadium in the 1930s, and finally the Liberty Bowl in 1965. But this dude had some humor in his comments I appreciated. UCF's stadium is only nicknamed the Bounce House and is actually Spectrum Stadium. Additionally a Golden Hurricane refers to a tornado.

I went to Temple and we absolutely hated the fact that the stadium wasn't on campus. That's why there were very low attendances on "regular" games compared to the basketball games

You are incorrect about the UCF stadium ... "Bounce House" is the nickname (along with "the Wok" for the effect of having noon-time kickoffs in central Florida) ... it was originally known as Bright House Networks Stadium, then Spectrum Stadium (when Charter Communications bought out and renamed Bright House Networks), and is NOW (as of May 31, 2022) FBC Mortgage Stadium under the new naming rights contract

While Gerald Ford was indeed a former Vice President, he’s probably better known as a former President. 😂
