Thank you for giving me the chance to re visit a time of my youth when I saw La belle Epoque of ABT. I saw this definitive cast many times. Tudor queen Sallie WILSON will never be forgotten. I'm so grateful, truly.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I never thought I would get to see this ballet nor see any of this generation of ABT's dancers. Sallie Wilson and Marcos Paredes were still doing character roles by the time I got to New York. Off to find Etudes!

Thank you Mr. Coll I saw this at the Music Center in Los Angeles I remember you walking out of the artist entrance one evening. Janet Shibata and Bill Carter were in front of you. Those were wonderful years when Ballet Theatre would come to LA for almost a month.

THANK GOD FOR KZbin! Only here can we see classical ballet videos. This historic document of the Anthony Tudor ballet Pillar Of Fire is not available on dvd which means it's not on Netflix either, just saying. Pillar was originally produced in 1942 and caused a sensation from it's frank depiction of sexual repression and the negative results from that. Hagar, the main character danced here by Sallie Wilson, became iconic in the world of dramatic narrative ballets Tudor revolutionized.

I saw this at City Center in, oh, I think about 1973. I was stunned. It spoke to something deep inside me that I hadn't known was there. Sallie Wilson articulated emotion through Tudor's choreography in a way that just astonished. Years later, she taught at NY Conservatory where I took class -- I would just gaze in awe! Thank you for posting this. ABT was so phenomenal back then.
