Even though I loved them all, Paul seemed the most down to earth, cool, and the one with the “it’s not a big deal - it’s just what I do” mannerism. He seemed so genuine as though he wasn’t doing it for the fame. As I stated earlier, I loved them all, but it was just something about Paul. Otis spoke very highly of him in a recent interview of how special Paul was to him ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

@@NathanAHogan As all true Temptations aficionados know, David Ruffin did replace Elbridge Bryant. However, he comprised what fans know as the "Classic Five" lineup, who recorded all those great Motown hits, and defined the quintessential Temptations sound, and style, at their finest. Whereas, Ruffin inherited Al's spot in the background harmony, he was already a solo recording artist with Motown, and he brought that dynamic to the group. Al, technically, was not one of the lead singers. Check it Out! Ciao!!!

@@jonathanclary3992 Good call, Sir. It's interesting, because, whereas The David Ruffin era of the Temptations is kbown as the "Classic Five" lineup, in the many years that have passed, we can't deny Dennis Edwards' presence, and contribution. After all, he led the Temps into their psychedelic period, which is a part of their history, and he had a considerable tenure with the group. Not taking anything away from the superb vocalists who have blessed the Temptations with their presence to this very day, it is safe to say that Dennis Edwards has earned his place among the classic lineup. In fact, based on their years of friendship, and group dynamic, they should rightfully be called "The Classic Six". There's no competition, we love them ALL!!! Check it Out! Ciao!!!

Dick Clark didn't just interview the guys. In the early days of the Motown Revue, Dick Clark also spent time traveling with the Motown acts, such as the Temptations, and the Supremes. He recalled a funny story, during an interview, saying "you haven't lived until you've seen the Supremes first thing in the morning, after spending all night traveling on the tour bus". Check it Out! @SLady328 Which one? reason l ask is because they appeared on the show twice. One performance is of them singing Papa Was a Rolling Stone in 1972. The one i'm talking about is from 1970, they sang Ball of Confusion & Let it Be. The vid of them singing Let it Be is online. For some reason they cut it in half. Well, Eddie was married during their affair so he was never really Diana's in the first place, to hold onto. Although it seems they started the affair when they were in the Primes and Primettes. Eddie also had an affair with Mary Wilson. He definetly got around.

Wow, the Temptations are so good looking. Everyone started to laugh when David made a joke. I was glad because their stress level was extremely high. Besides, working together in a male group for seven years is a long time which is extremely hard work.

@@therlowfoy9738Yes, thank you. But I was mainly talking about the hit making line up that started with "The Way You Do The Things You Do." Just like the Supremes had other members before Diana, Mary, and Florence, but these other members were not present when the Supremes had their first #1 hit, Where Did Our Love Go?

Off topic. If you look at Paul's face from early Temptations videos to latter ones, his got very swollen. My medical expertise says that's due to him getting steroids to treat his health problems. A swollen face is a big side effect.
