@@NathanAHogan As all true Temptations aficionados know, David Ruffin did replace Elbridge Bryant. However, he comprised what fans know as the "Classic Five" lineup, who recorded all those great Motown hits, and defined the quintessential Temptations sound, and style, at their finest. Whereas, Ruffin inherited Al's spot in the background harmony, he was already a solo recording artist with Motown, and he brought that dynamic to the group. Al, technically, was not one of the lead singers. Check it Out! Ciao!!!

@@jonathanclary3992 Good call, Sir. It's interesting, because, whereas The David Ruffin era of the Temptations is kbown as the "Classic Five" lineup, in the many years that have passed, we can't deny Dennis Edwards' presence, and contribution. After all, he led the Temps into their psychedelic period, which is a part of their history, and he had a considerable tenure with the group. Not taking anything away from the superb vocalists who have blessed the Temptations with their presence to this very day, it is safe to say that Dennis Edwards has earned his place among the classic lineup. In fact, based on their years of friendship, and group dynamic, they should rightfully be called "The Classic Six". There's no competition, we love them ALL!!! Check it Out! Ciao!!!

I’m the FB group, it was said that Paul had sickle cell and drank for the pain. He killed himself because of all that. He wasn’t nuts

Off topic. If you look at Paul's face from early Temptations videos to latter ones, his got very swollen. My medical expertise says that's due to him getting steroids to treat his health problems. A swollen face is a big side effect.

Yeah... That's what I told my kids; Look at them. They are all over 6 feet tall, like basketball players. BTW, Paul Williams is my current celebrity crush. - 04/2022 -

Damn y'all, what about RIP Dick Clark. He's so young he doesn't even look like himself (if that makes any sense)
