David Frizzell reminds me of Merle Haggard. You can tell Merle was his influence. I'm assuming they just sang "You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma."

Dottie and Bill and their family moved to Nashville from Cleveland when Shelley was quite young. Dottie was originally from McMinville anyway, so they were genuine Tennessee people. “Lies”…🙄
