i wouldnt compare that .. in america its a family event with hotdogs and kisscams no biggie to keep that in check a player can point at a fan witch he wants out and not even a handfull halfdrunk overweight buddys would back him up. try that in europe and u got a coupple hundert willing to fight every weekend on your ass. no matter how much security u got in the venue the fans will always be more and willing to stand their ground defending their colors. its religion, passed on thru generations. nobody would cange team, loyal thru the whole life. in the u.s. your team leaves ur city as soon them get a better taxdeal and a nice stadium somwere else... completly different mindset, completly different atmosphere .. u.s. cops with an avereage of 20 weeks of training would be stomped in european stadiums

This "Balkan people mentality" is rooted in all we do. Serbia, Greece... If you my friend I die 4 you period. Then you multiply that with how many fans there are. Like football, basketball, tenis, even Eurovision (singing contest). The guy that started WW1 Gavrilo Princip has a monument in Belgrade and ppl from west are wtf but that guy died for his ppl no matter the odds or the cost. Like 300 the movie vibes it is in Balkan soul. We are small countries, cant even see us on the world map 8-10 milion ppl but we fight with teams from U.S. or Brasil and win. And you win because if you dont you get back to all of nation humiliated. And all of you ancestors. They are watching you from the graves...so I hope I get the picture across of mentality of players, fans and people in general here. It is different world. Each generation faught in some wars for centuries and sports are just fancy battlegrounds.

If I was American, young, taller I wouldn't do AAU basketball as much as most Americans. I would have enough to have mix tape to send to the bigger clubs in Europe, you get to compete against grown men and strong fundamental. Also everyone, nearly everyone, can shoot. Plus you're allowed to guard.

It is different now in western Europe, can't speak for eastern/south and north Africa. The thing is... I think, this was allowed to remove 5000+ year old tension in the region.
