I swear it's not as expensive as you think check out one of those meat house markets & I guarantee you come out with more than 2 weeks worth of food for less than the typical so called high quality dog food...the barf or prey model diet is so in expensive....chicken quarters 15 bucks for a 40lb case thts like 30 leg quarters organ meat is only a couple bucks maybe even cents a lb. Some places fish freeze 3days to kill any parasites salmon 7days....but whole talapia a buck a fish you just gots research how to raw feed your animals meal prep it & take off!

Heart and Gizzard are not Organs.....That is all Muscle meat. Organs are liver, kidney, spleen. Make sure to include a bit of organ so they get all the needed vitamins & minerals or they will be deficient.

Facts!...they have to have 10% secreting organ meat...usually people do 5%liver & 5% of whatever else they have like kidney brains sweatbreads etc

In the grocery store that means chicken and beef livers, chicken gizzards, chicken and beef hearts, beef kidney, and occasionally beef tongue. Arguably all are organs - in a technical sense anyway. ... These include hearts, gizzards and tongues.

I have a bluenose who I love & would feed her anything that is healthy. The whole raw food is controversial every time I ask. My dog doesn’t seem to eat chicken or beef.... i feed her the Primal brand raw dog food rabbit or lamb. Should i switch to making my own raw food diet for her? Should I physically go buy raw rabbit meat & prep it myself ? Her fur & size is beautiful so far but I just want her to be healthy on the inside as well. I know she has digestive issues so im trying to feed her the best to make it easier on her stomach

But when it comes to raw feeding, “organ meat” typically refers to secreting organs only like liver, spleen, or kidney. That means muscular organs like heart or gizzards are actually fed as muscle meat instead of organ meat.

I just transitioned my dog into a raw diet. I'd check his stool afterwards. Day 1 his stool was soft (no diarrhea). Day 2 its solid but looks clean. How do I know if it's a good stool? I really don't know how to ask this question but I think you understand where I'm getting at.

If she can't run, jump or play. If she seems unhappy and you see her become too lean. If she whines...give her more food. I keep it simple...my full grown male apbt gets about a lbs of meat with s side if I feel like giving him a side.
