It's the chicken thats causing the skin food allergies. that also includes poultry make sure you eliminate that from their diet ...... try red meats like venison , buffalo or fish formulas ... they are all hypoallergenic proteins.

Biggest issue with chicken is that store bought chicken is fed a really poor diet while alive and kept indoors. No sunlight means low levels of vitamin D and poor diet means imbalance of amino acids and sick chickens.

Edgar Serrano yeah chicken gives my dog SERIOUS diarrhea and I had no idea for a while and was feeding him MORE with rice to try to help him. Websites need to stop recommending chicken to dogs to help with diarrhea.

You're right. I usually use the blood and the liver juice. My daughter was just grossed out and I wasn't paying attention to her. But I do use all the liquids from the meats for xtra vitamins. Thanks for your support. Really appreciate the feedback.

Well I used to actually eat mostly raw (not meat). I do believe all creatures absorb natural products better and faster I don't spoil myself like that now that I'm a busy mom but I'm sure if a human being absorbed raw fruit and veggies much better I'm sure animals probably do too. I believe my dog is absorbing nutrients at much faster speed on raw.

I was feeding my Boston purina pro plan because that's what the breeder recommended. Then I switched him to grain free (solid gold) now I've been reading how grain free is no good. Love seeing dog owners feeding raw. Had my dog eating raw at 12weeks he's 3years old(human years) and has been the best thing ever. I feed my boy Capone 700g-1.200g worth of raw food. I usually don't mix veggies nor do I mix kibbles. But to each his own of it works for you then more power to you. Great looking dogs bro.

The skin flare up could be a reaction to the coral dust in Florida. I'm from the Florida keys and that was common in some of my friends dogs when they'd roll around in the dirt

Caona, add or spray some Apple vinegar in that missing hair on what you mention. They brought me a dog ,that had similar thing like your dog had but it was all over his body,Apple Vinegar! It keeps flies away from your dog area too. Good job on taking care of your dogs on how you feed them!!!

Good job. I have been feeding raw and I also mix with dry when I get a bit low on cash or can't get quality meat. It's a lot of work but the dogs are worth it. I even cook for my dogs. Cold months they get a nice warm meal. Good looking dogs and good video.

Good to see you feeding raw.Im sure you have heard this already,but mixing kibble and raw is a nono.It digest different.A dog that has been on kibble has lost some natural acids in its digestive tract.When you start feeding raw they will eventually get those acids back.My Stafford shire pooped out bone for about a month,because of the acid he lost.Almost a year now on raw and no bones coming out.Looks like your doing everything pretty good.I use chicken quarters for main protien.Go easy on vegetables.A dog can not digest them.Look at their poop and tell me what you see?The vegetables they ate.My dogs get no sugars, carbs,fruit,small amount of green bean or carrot just for rufage.You are definitely on the right track.

Caona Bully Kennels Yea I tried to find things like pancrease,brain,lung,tripe with no luck.I looked at Asian and Mexican places with no luck.Butchers nope.In Ohio there is a crazy law where they can not sell those organs.I do whole chicken quarters,beef and calf liver,turkey and chicken gizzard,pork(but no pork bone to hard),and just started whole Talapia(Sams Club) about a month ago.I just cut all fins off Talapia and dinner is served,head and all.If there is no bone I use pure calcium carbonate pills 500mg and crush them and sprinkle that on meat for calcium.The calcium can NOT have D3 in it.D3 is not water soluable and will build up instead of the dog getting rid of it.Not telling you what to do.Just passing on what I have learned in my research.Its funny when people think we are crazy for feeding a dog raw.In reality,humans are the only ones on earth that cook their food.Have a good day

Caona Bully Kennels Well,I am far from knowing it all also.I just do what I have learned from trusted resources.As far as freezing,I make sure my pork has been frozen for a few days.Everything else,no worries.Pork can carry a worm.Freezing kills it.As far as the fish bones go,no problem.They are soft like chicken bones.Everyone thinks bones are dangerous,which is false.Cooked bones are deadly.But I do cut all fins off with meat scissors. I also have a 12 lb. Cheweenie and he eats the same as my 85 lb Pitt.Talapia I get from Sams Club are frozen whole fish,minus the inards.As far as salmonella or any other bacteria,no problem.The acids in the dogs gut are so strong ,no worries there eighther.Like you said think like a wolf.They dont always get fresh meat.But do not feed them Pacific salmon,frozen or not.They carry a parasite only deadly to dogs.So I stay away from all salmon.I give mine fish 2 to 4 times a week.The most important thing I have learned is make sure whatever you feed them make sure it's big enough to where they have to tear their bites off and chew the bone.Again,think like a wolf.By cutting in small pieces will cause a choking hazard.I will get a video up of mine eating some fish and chicken quarters tomorrow.If you have any questions bro I'll try to answer them.

I have two dogs. One is a boxer/lab mix and he is nearly three years old. The other is a one year old razors edge. I am wanting to go with raw diet. Your pups look amazing. I feel like an idiot asking this question but I’ve never even thought about why tails or ears are cut/changed on different breeds. I only thought about it when my daughter asked me the other day about an animal rescue video she saw where a dog’s tail had necrosis due to the owner putting a tight rubber band around it and letting it rot off. I didn’t have an answer. I told her about certain breeds and what was done but couldn’t explain why or what age. How am I 41 and don’t know the answer to this? I guess I just never needed the info before? Regardless of my idiocy...what IS the original reason and the age it’s done. Maybe at this point it’s just...how it is..but I’m interested in the original purpose. I laughed when my daughter said “maybe the Rottweiler just looked goofy with a long tail?”
