There is a breeder that lives about an hour away from me that has been working with Pocket American Bullies for a while, met him by chance. They did that all on their own. No intervention at all. Started with one sticking up, and the other flopped. Awkward teenage phase, then both decided to stand up.

I make homemade treats, there are a few recipes on my channel, but I also have store bought ones. I stick to simple ingredient ones, not too fatty, and typically the same protein source (lamb) as his regular food

First by just holding his paw, saying "shake" then giving a treat. Repeat a bunch. Then trying to tap his foot and ask for his paw with "shake". When he would lift his foot even a little bit I would grab his paw, say "shake" and lots of praise and treats. Repeat a lot and eventually he understood and started to give his paw. Lots and lots of practice, treats and praise!
