Indeed, lots of gratitude because not be taken serious as such a child has even bigger impact.

The mainstream communities in the west have not acknowledged this phenomenon yet, that’s why a lot of people are not even familiar with such research unfortunately.

The idea that we do not end with death, but in fact, continue, is a liberating idea. It can contribute to people being less afraid of death, and hence less likely to be controlled by fear. I can see why the mainstream science is not keen about exploring this theme.

In Hindu Philosophy and scriptures it says that our destiny is determined by the acts performed in previous births and everything is predetermined before we are born.

Hello from Myanmar. The internet and fate led me to this point. Dr Ian Stepenson did a lot of research here on reincarnation. There are no conincidences in life.

I had one dream, very vivid where I wasn't me..I was dancing at my wedding in SE Europe a long time ago, like Byzantine era. Is this common and is it a past life memory?

This might be something closer to inherited memories

Very interesting to find Dr. Tucker's work. My son had recall of past life in which he described to us, when he was four to five years old; During the US Civil War, his friend had been killed next to him. He was killed shortly after. He described in detail the uniforms and the combat situation. These disturbing memories are still quite vivid for him, over 25 years later. My recalls occurred when I was 40 years old. Thank you for sharing this lecture.

The entity that survives the body; what is it made of?

Apparently it’s really subtle with only a trace of matter. The Buddha dhamma (Pāli Canon) has detailed description of it where it is called “gandhabba”. It is different from a soul and could be loosely translated as ‘mental body’.

The atma (true self) is part of the para shakti (superior energy of God), it's 3 intrinsic qualities are that it is 'sat' (unchanging and eternal), 'chit' (conscious) and 'ananda' (blissful). At the time of death, the atma (true self) is carried away from the body in the subtle body. The subtle body, which is made of subtle matter, is comprised of 19 parts (the five knowledge acquiring senses, the five working senses, the five kinds of vital life air, as well as mind, intelligence, false ego, and memory). Please see the video on my channel called 'The Subtle Body: What is it? How is it Different from the Self? And Does it Die?

@@dayanidhi9391I have heard skills earned in previous life are transferred to the next life, and do not necessarily end. What exactly is permanent and stays wit us, and what is lost at death? In the 19 parts of subtle body, you mentioned false ego, intelligence, memories... Does the identity (false ego) of previous life interfere or influence with the current identity? Is intelligence is also carried forward by reincarnation?

@@birdsongs482 Yes, both intelligence (buddhi) and false ego (ahankara) are kept from one life to the next life, because they are parts of the subtle body, and the subtle body continues after the death of the physical. The ahankara will then causes the self to misidentify with the mind and body of the next life. As for skills and abilities, some impression of those things will be there in the subtle body, and so in some cases, such as we see with child prodigies (Mozart springs to mind, but others too of course) a young child might show very advanced abilities an an early age, which may well be due to having that skill or ability to a very advanced level in a previous life. May I ask, did you watch the video on my channel that I suggested people watch?

I recently went through major revelation regarding my past life as Hank Williams and am looking to talk with an American expert on this topic. Please connect me if possible.
