I’m Buddhist. The closest family and friends around me are Muslim and Christians, Catholic. I knew when my daughter was born that if I dared to mention anything regarding my daughters past life, it would be dismissed by my family. So when my daughter began to speak about her past, without ANY PROMOTING from me, I kept it quiet, made some notes in my diary. It first began when she was three. We were sitting in a taxi. She suddenly turned to me and said, “I like you better than my last mummy”. I was shocked, it was such a strange thing to say, in that manner too.

If the concept of an eternally inflating multiverse is correct, then sooner or later an exact copy of yourself will randomly be created from scratch and will be realised in some future bubble universe with it's own big bang somewhere else in the eternally inflating multiverse. Also, if the concept of an eternally inflating multiverse is correct, then over the course of eternity your exact life you have lived so far and every other possible variation of your life will ultimately by lived an infinite number of times by other exact copies of you. In conclusion, life after (your) death does NOT exist because there is nowhere for the soul to go after you die and there is no way for the information stored in your brain to persist after you die. .

Now learning more I actually thing some form of reincarnation exist just as the Dharmic faiths say, I don't follow any particular still but I hope some things karma(so those who have done bad are judged) and reincarnation exists. It always saddened me as a kid that all non believers of Jesus will just suffer forever, all because they chose the wrong theological beleifs. How is that justice? I love hearing from anyone who follows dharmic religions wether it's Buddhism, Sanatana Dharma, doesn't matter to me honestly I like their teachings from what I have learned. When my son was about four he was playing on the floor and almost absentmindedly said, “I’m so happy God gave you to me.” Well, I smiled and gently corrected him, saying, “I think you mean God gave YOU to ME.” He put his toy down, looked at me in an irritated way, and said, “No- when I was just a twinkle in God’s eye, I looked at all the mommies in the world and picked you. God gave YOU to ME.” We are obviously a religious family, so the language he used isn’t a surprise. What’s surprising is how sure he was of the order of events. He spoke to me like like I was an idiot who couldn’t grasp the most basic concept. He went back to playing with his toys and I just sat there in stunned silence.

@@charliesmith3832 Your overarching theory about the existence of an infinite number of universes is untestable, thus irrefutable- and implausible since it would require an infinite amount of mass, energy and time. Because of these problems, it's no more scientific than saying God made everything just the way it is- in fact, it's considerably less logical and internally coherent than the theological construct. Further, the existence of a multiverse within each universe (including this one) is a common misconception. The multiverse concept is just a thought experiment of infinite possibilities- they don’t all actually exist. They’re just probabilistic states. Potential matter collapses into a single entity once the “decision” is made to choose one path or another, and all the other possibilities are gone. Because these probabilistic states have to be collapsed for things to exist, something has to pin them down in space and time. The famous double-slit experiments (especially the delayed-choice quantum eraser) demonstrate that this thing is information, or knowledge. And the only thing capable of knowledge is a mind. So you have it backwards. The physical world does not produce consciousness. Consciousness determines the state of the physical world. Even Einstein had trouble with the implications of this concept- see his statement about whether the moon exists. WHOSE consciousness is pinning down the universe to its current state, is really the big question. A bunch of little minds, like ours? Or one big enough that it can make sure the moon, and everything else, really is still there even if you"re not looking at it?

So glad to have found your podcast, Scott. Very happy you are open to go where many psychologists fear to tread… I am a 63 year old woman on a journey… At 4 years old I had a brain injury. Around that time, I began having a dream about a past life. Even as a child I knew this ‘was me’ and when told it was just my imagination, I didn’t argue, I just carried this memory throughout my life, knowing it was my truth. Over the years, puzzle pieces have fallen into place. Recently, while attempting to get a diagnosis after self-diagnosing as an adult woman with ASD, (you know, the whole masking thing) I was instead diagnosed Schizotypal. Never even heard of it. But after going down a rabbit hole researching this (yes, it checks out) I believe I am on the high-end (creative) and that the ideas constantly flooding me since my earliest memories, well, when it comes to people like me, are just part of the deal. I do believe you all call it flow… I will continue seeking the ASD (comorbidity component) Both sides of my family are creatives… I was lucky to have had a great-uncle (inventor) who, when I started to struggle at around 14, sat me down and schooled me as to what was happening to me. He was known by the family as a lovable kook. Kook, my a$$… He was a big believer in Edgar Casey. Slept with his head pointing east. Could Astro-project and so on… He said I was like him and was tapping (can’t find that word in Google) Basically, we are able to recieve ( pick up on) things from the Universal mind (flow)… If not for him, I’m sure my life would have been so much worse than it was. And it was no picnic. Luckily, inside my head, the weather has always been fine… Epiphanies are my jam, lol… Anyway- the memory of my past life has never faded. I believe I lived in Essex, England in the early 1900’s (1910). Specifcally, the South Downs. I was very depressed and committed suicide (large birthmark behind my left ear) I am incidentally left handed… I was born in Spokane Washington, but I had a grandmother who moved from England to the US in her twenties… Sorry for the rant. Must be the Schizotypal in me…

I have a lot to say about life after death and the universe and that is why I have broken it up into 3 parts. Part 1/3 I will explain to tell you the truth about reincarnation and the universe. Cosmic inflation is where our universe expanded so rapidly for a very brief moment of time at the big bang. Inflation only ended in our part of space (our bubble universe) while other regions of space are still inflating. Once inflation starts, it never ends producing an infinite number of bubble universes and each bubble universe would have their own big bang event. There are new universes being created all of the time at an ever increasing rate with new universes being created forever. Outside the bubble universe the universe grows forever and is finite at any given time but inside the bubble universe is spatially infinite and is created all at once because the edge of the bubble universe represents the big bang and further inside the bubble represents later times. Our universe is indeed infinite and that means that there is only a finite number of ways matter can arrange itself and with an infinite universe there are an infinite number of exact copies of you, me, the Earth the sun, everything else and our observable universe. In an infinite universe coincidences and matches are guaranteed to happen no matter how unlikely or strange them may seem it is just the particles coming together in all possible ways by random chance. Therefore this does NOT prove reincarnation in the slightest. Other bubble universes might have different laws of physics. Although the inflationary multiverse is eternal into the future, it CAN NOT be eternal into the past, the inflationary multiverse MUST of had a beginning. Part 2/3 I will tell you how our inflationary multiverse may of came from nothing. A zero sized multiverse with a zero sized radius (which is NO space at all and time does NOT exist) can quantum tunnel through a high energy barrier to a finite sized multiverse with a finite sized radius filled with high energy false vacuum and will start to inflate very rapidly, this provides the beginning of the story of eternal inflation. The rate that new bubble universes form increases by a factor of 2 to the power of (10 to the power of 34) every second so insanely fast. Every time you make a decision, you get physically cloned far far away in space who makes the opposite decision and also every time something has happened to you, you get physically cloned far far away in space where the opposite thing happens to them. Part 3/3 I will also tell you about quantum immortality, if you die instantly in this universe, an exact copy of you will survive in another universe. You won't die from your point of view because only your living self can keep your consciousness and soul in existence. However you won't be able to live forever as this only works if there is a binary option die instantly or survive. Quantum immortality would NOT apply to people who die lets say from cancer or old age. But when you do finally die your soul will no longer function and it will go kaput and near death experiences and out of body experiences is just the brain going haywire and hallucinating when it is nearly dead as there is NOT enough oxygen getting to the brain when it is shutting down. This is your only life you will get, so make the MOST OF IT!!!!

An exact copy of you has an exact copy of your brain, consciousness and soul because the particles that came together to make their brain, consciousness and soul randomly came together in the exact same way that made your brain, consciousness and soul. An exact copy of you is NOT you, but it will think it is you, it is completely compatible with you and it is randomly created from scratch and is also made from the same template or mould as you. When bubble universes form they expand, but the space in between them expands even faster, continuously creating room for more and more bubble universes to form because once inflation starts, it can sustain the production of new bubble universes forever. No soul recycling, it is a soul production line, when your life ends it ends. This inflating material that drove this exponential expansion at the big bang is unstable but it does NOT decay all at once and it decays in regions. Wherever decay takes place, it converts all of it's energy into matter and radiation and is the birth of a new universe and is the big bang of that universe. This inflating material expands faster than it decays and if it expands faster than it decays this leads to a runaway effect and it will never fully decay and it will go on forever. Each bubble universe will have it's very own big bang event and it's subsequent evolution. Our big bang event happened 13.8 billion years ago while other universes may have their big event at this very moment.

31:29 yes... I 110% agree. It is my belief that reincarnation, when the fitting conditions are there.. for example, the past life was cut short too soon (such as an accident), thus creating an un-fufilled purpose, and so the soul feels the need to come back.. ideally within the same family/circumstances.. not only for their familiarity sake, but also to check up on their loved ones. So, if, for example, there is someone who is pregnant in the family at the time of the death, that creates the perfect circumstances to come back.

As a young child, I had a dream that was notable for several reasons, among them I was killed by a burst of machine gun fire from my right side. It hit me in my lower back and moved up to my neck. Later in my childhood, lumbar and cervical spinal growth abnormalities occurred. I also had a birthmark on my right arm. In the dream, I lost consciousness the instant my face hit the ground. At the same instant, the alarm bell woke me straight from the dream- coincidental or indicative of a broader consciousness? After that, the smell of earth reminded me of death, tho I hadn't ever been a funeral.

Layman here. Why does genetic memory have to necessarily be the memory of an incident that happened to ancestor? Could genetic memory carry the detailed story or knowledge of someone or something that happened to someone else? Might explain why the stories happen in proximity to where an ancestor lived but not happened directly to an ancestor. Also, if we're going to accept the already "crazy" premise of reincarnation, what's to say 4 different kids couldn't have been Babe Ruth?

No one could've done this, because it was a symbol that was never taught at all (I wasn't learning to write roman script, but my native Devanagari script which uses way more than just 26 symbols, and you can't just teach kids all the symbols first then tell them to form words). I'm sure that was my knowledge from past life.

I think it's extremely unlikely to be a rebel taking on the establishment AND be a psychiatrist, given the training and education involved. Which is concerning because so many people with so-called mental illness are coming up against the social order in their lives. And they need help navigating that. When you're "help" is someone who's committed to maintaining the status quo, you're screwed. Not trying to knock psychiatrists, but it's a real problem.

Hi, I recently discovered Dr. Tucker and his work. I find it intriguing. But I heard him talk about the Ryan case a couple of times now, because it's apparently one of the strongest cases. But I also find it really coincedental that this unnamed extra happened to be in a book about Hollywood, that's in the local library. But that's the sceptic in me. But that led me to thinking (in this case it's obviously not possible anymore), do they let the children make drawings (with someone like a sketchartist) of the person they have memories of? That could also be some evidence if later the person is identified (assuming there are pictures of this person)...?

Some of the strongest evidence ever brought forth on the reality of reincarnation (not involving hypnosis). Birthmarks, scars and photographic evidence. A Civil War general’s reincarnation, plus a great story of a young boy, 9/11 and the reincarnation of a New York City firefighter who perished in one of the Twin Towers. The full story as told by the boy's mother on (and off) a popular Reincarnation Forum starting in 2007 up to the present day. The book's title, Fire in the Soul: Reincarnation from Antietam to Ground Zero.

Anyway a young boy remembers it and the family got in touch with the person who knew the guy who died. The family went to NYC and meet with the guy and the kid was able to verify some of the things. 1. The kid remembers living close by the twin towers and was able to walk to work. I was neutral on this topic even though I experimented with mysticism but eventually I tried a past life regression, at one point had a terrifying experience of dying in Vietnam and saw the name on the memorial wall and I even have scars from an operation that correlated. I still don’t take it too seriously but I felt and saw it was shaking terrified crying and really felt so sorry but also felt the calm after the fear. Friends have told me that some of my personality traits do seem from that era especially the ones old enough to remember the era. Again I don’t really know what to make of it but I definitely have an even higher empathy for veterans of combat. Even if it’s not something paranormal it still has reminded me of the horror of anger violence and the callousness of war and even personal hatred, and I try to remind myself to do no harm.

I would rather say that the process sometimes gets it right and the information is transmitted. And perhaps there is a genetic component in who remembers their past life and who doesn't. Reasons why it's not Mainstream? Because it's based on theoretical 'entities' that cannot be weighed, felt, seen, smelled, measured or even made available on demand. We have to accept such entities/concepts on 'say-so', which means 'on faith'; and there are possibly more faiths than facts. With faiths you take your pick, pay your money, and good luck to you ... Bearing this in mind I try to keep my mind open as best I can - hopefully the more the input the better my conclusions. I find it easier to accept reincarnation than Jesus, Siva, Vishnu, Thor, Odin, God, gods, angels, demons, Satans ... and things that go 'plop' in the night with no apparent cause.

The very first time I was introduced to the concept of reincarnation was in watching a movie titled, "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud". Needles to say, I was surprised to know such a phenomenon even existed. These days I am on the fence however as to the legitimacy of such a reality. But at any rate if science were ever to substantially enough prove Reincarnation is real based on technological evidence that would leave little to no doubt Reincarnation does take place in all it's substantiated forms? I'd have to delve into that evidence to finally be convinced such a wonderment is found to be the real deal.

Krishna states that He has been giving us our desires from time immemorial. How is it that the spirit soul is trying to enjoy in matter? Is it natural for the living entity to be bound up in matter? Reincarnation is not desirable. Our happiest condition is when we are tasting the loving relationship with the Supreme Soul. Some people miss the basic point that the material body is a source of pain. They think reincarnation is enjoyable. Some surfers can't stand being out of the water. They are developing the mentality of seals and porpoises. When they hear about this, they like this. People think there is some joy in eating and sleeping in a cat's life. Some people kill the body and try to get rid of the miseries in this way. Getting rid of my gross body isn't going to do anything. The solution is to wipe clean material desires. The tongue is a manifestation of the mental desire to taste. Leave the material dimension all behind. This is possible only when you have cleansed the heart and mind of material desires. The human form of life is the only responsible form of life. It is by nature's arrangement that one moves back from an animal form of life to the human form of life. You can get eating, sleeping, mating, and defending in any animal form of life. The human form of life is made for something higher. If we don't use it as a jumping point to get out of the material world, then we have wasted it.

Thank you for your fascinating podcast. I've been interested in, and have read much about NDEs as well as Reincarnation, for years. There are so many possibilities, including genetic memory; psychic ability to sense someone's past life information; perhaps a quantum entanglement sort of situation; children being coached by an adult; etc. Perhaps even a combination of these possibilities. But I do believe reincarnation is an actuality, as are NDEs. So many cultures accept reincarnation as a simple actuality. Years ago, the first child of dear friends, when a toddler, often used to look around say, "all the people, all the people," when nobody was visible. And once, he looked at me and said, "I have to die. I have to die" so very matter of factly, that I must have gotten a shocked look on my face. His dad (a professor) looked at me and said, " I don't know why he said that." So I wondered what he was seeing, or if he was remembering a past life death experience, or was seeing spirits and was precognitive, or what. He did have a couple potential Petit Mal seizures early on, but was treated and grew out of them. He's an M.D. now and I've never asked him about it. I have some Buddhist Monk friends, and their tulku/reincarnation tradition is very strong, a way of life, and death. There are so many things we, as a culture, are unwilling to accept as possible. And just about anything is possible! Dr. Tucker, one of my favorite cases is that of the "Barra Boy." Fascinating. Also, Time Team visited that island some while back, and many very early inhumations and round house remnants were being exposed beneath the sands there due to erosion. It looked like the finds were on the beach your plane landed on! Thank you again.

I'm not convinced on genetic memories, can't see how that can work, and wouldn't it only give memories of ancestors? Quantum entanglement sounds far fetched too, as surely it would take many particles in the brain in the correct place to be entangled correctly with someone elses brain in the past. Psychic ability sounds more reasonable, but yet it still lacks an explanation. These memories often tend to be associated with traumatic deaths, perhaps that is the place to start looking for answers.

Two thousand plus recorded instances from around the world, although intriguing, certainly is not an impressive number as to quantity but that is likely because so few people/researchers venture into this area of study. The bottom line is that when a soul enters a body there is amnesia so even if they were "adult" they wouldn't know, just like most of us don't know about our soul's status due to this amnesia. If you mean that the actual soul has matured through having learned the necessary lessons, from what I understand, they are less likely to incarnate. The purpose of incarnation is to learn the lessons needed to mature, so if they were mature and had learned all the necessary lessons, they wouldn't need to incarnate. However, groups of souls do help each other, so I suppose a mature soul might incarnate for the purpose of assisting another incarnated soul to experience what they need to and have the chance to learn the lessons they have chosen to learn in this life, noting that we still have free will so whether we actually learn that lesson or not is still up to us and our actions. Michael Newton's book, the Journey of Souls explains a lot of this and is worth a read if you are interested in soul development and reincarnation.
@warpedweft9004 Жыл бұрын
@jamespalmer2579 to be honest, I think that is beyond the realm of probability. I think we do reincarnate and what we learned in previous lives comes with us in some way, but we do have lessons to learn so we won't come back exactly as we are now. If your theory was right then people who have suffered mentally in this life face an eternity of that. I've heard that explanation of NDEs before, but I don't agree with it. I'm not going to go into detail as to why and let you loose on trying to demolish it, but suffice it to say that scientists only think this is a possibility. They can't prove it any more than anyone with an NDE can prove their side of the story. At the end of the day, if it is a hallucination, at that point we aren't going to know any different, so why disillusion people? Either there is something and we'll get to experience it or there isn't and we won't know about it. Does it matter what we each believe to get us through this life and ease our own passing?
@warpedweft9004 Жыл бұрын
@jamespalmer2579 just let people believe what they want to believe about death and after life. It doesn't hurt and disillusioning them can cause a lot of harm. In the end none of it really matters.

I've listened to your podcast regularly. And as a recent CMU alumna myself, I've always had great respect for you knowing you've worked and enjoyed the company of Herb Simon and Randy Pausch. However, I must say, I found your tone a little condescending (and at times, mocking). While the guest himself remained highly processional, even within a very highly conflicting domain, I could at times see your disbelief and general mockery of the subject. While I still don't find the research evidence enough, and see his theory as the only explanation, I would imagine the host of the show to not border at disrespecting the guest. I may as well be very wrong, and perhaps it may be just in my head (if that is the case, I am apologising in advance), but if not, I would love to see you continuing your bias against the topic out of the podcast studio. Regardless, I appreciate all your efforts and the fact that you did invite Dr. Tucker and enabled us with the opportunity to listen to a fascinating conversation about a scientific approach to such a taboo topic. Thank you!

How the hell is children accurately relating details of someone’s life, confirmed by scientist in a test setting anecdotal? The only thing less credible in science than an anecdote is removed speculation, which is what you’re doing.
@collinparker26742 жыл бұрын

Ancestral memories from our DNA
@cosmichappening17122 жыл бұрын
The problem with that theory is that many of those who recall dying due to receiving a traumatic injury or wound to the body from a knife or spear for example in a past life, carry the psychic imprint of that traumatic injury or wound into their current life in the form of birthmarks at the exact site of the injury or wound sustained in that past life.
@martabartosiak4672 жыл бұрын
How would you remember your ancestor's previous death though? If you carried the memories in DNA only, it would only be up to a certain point - the point when a new baby (new generation) was conceived. You would not have the memories from your ancestor's later life (after the conception) up until their death I guess. I am also not a firm believer in reincarnation, but I think that ancestral memory theory does not give the full answer to some cases.
@kright77382 жыл бұрын
@@martabartosiak467 You would not be remembering a parent’s death throes but rather a grandparent or other ancestor, or perhaps an uncle with DNA very similar to your own. We share portions of our DNA with many more people, living or dead, than just our own parents. Which portions might carry which memories? Is there a set of genes that does carry memory, like those of butterflies who know the way to migrate, or beavers that just know how to build a complex dam, for instance? Just how much of “instinct” is actually memory?

Another issue with this is that many people recall an accurate course of events after death (i.e their burial site, finding their new parents and relating these details with confirmation from surviving family members!)

nope. Because people have memories of how they died as well. People usually die after having their kids (and thus have already passed their DNA). So this theory is false.

Salvation is not attained by self-effort as one Hindu Mystic stated. One does not achieve spiritual perfection through a series of incarnations. God wanted man to dominate the earth not escape it by cosmic consciousness, leading to a union with God without Jesus. - John 14: 6. If that were so there would be no resurrection of the dead and no second appearance of Jesus Christ - 2 Corinthians 15: 52. When Jesus rules in the Millennial reign the righteous that rule with him are not recycled souls, but original resurrected and glorified bodies - Revelation 20. There is regressive hypnosis, a technique enabling others to recall memories in early infancy; in the womb and remember past lives. The term for it is retrocognition. The evidence here is seeming scientifically tenable, but contradictory in many respects to Jesus' true teachings. Satan is so subtle that he can deceive the very elect and the very intellectual!!! There is evidence that reincarnation is the work of deceptive of impersonating spirits. There is incontrovertible evidence to support what Jesus said: "After death then the Judgement." - Hebrew 9: 27. The false prophet Edgar Cacye was able to diagnose illnesses and treatments in a hypnotic trance. He was a great proponent of reincarnation and gave past life readings to many. He used limited medical truths to deceive and destroy many. Even the Bible says of the antichrist: " by peace he shall destroy many." From my studies in Christian Out-of-Body experiences and Near-Death Experiences, every person that dies goes to Heaven or hell. If people are either secure in Heaven or locked in hell for all eternity, how can they keep on reincarnating? There are books on the topic "Divine Revelation of Heaven" and "Divine Revelation of Hell" both by Mary Baxter. Another is "Beyond Heavens Door" by Dr. David Rawlings. There is also another by H.A Baker called Heaven and the Angels which give a person a glimpse of heaven. Finally there is one called "23 Minutes in Hell by Bill Weise. I do this because I believe that you should have an alternative view. I accept the biblical world view. Again, reincarnationists do not believe in hell. However, Jesus talks about hell and it is mentioned 54 times in the King James version of the Bible. The reincarnationists are deceived because in five of the major world religions, there is a concept of hell if you look deeply!! Enlightened Buddhists monks would concede that hell is real. The Buddhists know Satan as "Yama" or "King of Hell." In Hindu literature the concept of Hell exists: " It is believed that people who commit sins go to Hell and have to go through punishments in accordance with the sins they committed. The god Yamarâja, who is also the god of death, presides over Hell. Detailed accounts of all the sins committed by an individual are kept by Chitragupta, who is the record keeper in Yama's court. Chitragupta reads out the sins committed and Yama orders appropriate punishments to be given to individuals. These punishments include dipping in boiling oil, burning in fire, torture using various weapons"(From Wikipedia). There is no such Hindu principle as Kharma - cause and effect in reincarnation. There is only salvation through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. Kharma presupposes an absence of God and salvation through self-effort. This is the height of Satanic deception. Jesus saves. If reincarnation was possible, how can you explain the billions of souls being added to earth population through the centuries. How is this possible if countless millions of souls are already locked in hell? The answer is that these souls never reincarnated but were created directly by God Himself. Jesus talks of His kingdom where there will be no death and no need for reincarnation we will live for eternity. Resurrection and the Rapture not reincarnation. 6132

Reincarnation is a fact. Dr. Michael Newton wrote 2 books about from the moment of death through the soul experiences on the other side to the moment of rebirth. The first book is called "Journey of Souls." It's an excellent reference. You can't prove reincarnation to people who don't want to look at that kind of evidence. Humans aren't so evolved as souls to be able to deal with past lives and most people have tough lives anyway.

From what I understand, you are not compelled to reincarnate. Souls choose to do so and to whom they are born, as welk as the circumstances and the conditions of this life. They also choose what they want to experience in this life. However, if you choose not to incarnate again, then your soul won't learn the necessary lessons it needs to mature. Once it has matured, it will not need to keep incarnating. Most of us here on Earth are physically and mentally exhausted by our present incarnation. As souls we are given plenty of "time" to rest, reflect and decide on our next incarnation. No one is forced to incarnate if they are not ready. The choice as to when, where and under what circumstances you incarnate or even whether you incarnate, is ultimately yours. The chances are you've incarnated before and have gone through that rest, reflection and renewal process before, but still chose to incarnate into this life for whatever reason. It's not really helpful to try and think or decide now, in a human incarnation battered by the human life you are currently experiencing, about whether to incarnate again or not, nor is it actually possible to do so.

It is the inalienable right of every human being to be able to recall memories from their past lives. In this way they are able to carry knowledge attained in those past lives into subsequent lives that they then don't need to relearn and can call on that knowledge virtually from the day they are born into those subsequent lives. In this way their knowledge increases exponentially with every life-time. This also enables them to avoid repeating the same mistakes from those past lives and thus avoid being trapped in the wheel of karma lifetime after lifetime, as most humans here on Earth are experiencing, for unfortunately, the planet has been hijacked for some time now by the "hidden" forces of darkness who have the knowledge and technology to suppress our memories upon the death of our physical bodies and recycle our souls into new bodies here on Earth lifetime after lifetime so that they can continue to "play gods" and "feed off" our "psychic energy" aka "Life force" aka "Loosh".

@warpedweft9004 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call it a right. Some people are more in tune with their soul than others and therefore are able to recall more than others, but it is rare to remember other lives while in this life. The whole point of incarnation is to experience and learn. If you knew about all your past lives, it would change how you see and act in this life and you wouldn't learn the needed lessons completely. The whole purpose of incarnation as I see it is the experience and how you deal with it. If you diminish that experience that in some way, then you diminish the lessons learned, which could mean incarnating again to learn that same lesson fully. Some things a soul does remember, and I believe that is things like natural ability come from those remembered lessons. Often the lessons to be learned in life are dependent on the early learning of a child. Could you imagine how weird it would be if everyone knew their past lives and came back remembering absolutely everything? what if you were a cruel person in a past life and your lesson was to learn compassion. How could you live with the fact that you'd committed these atrocities in a past life? The human brain can only take so much without it being affected.
@warpedweft9004 Жыл бұрын
@jamespalmer2579 you're trying to look at it and measure it in human scientific terms. That doesn't exist outside the human brain and our own Earth and earthly experience. Souls aren't physical nor tangible so you can't measure them using physical measurement or scientific measurement based on the physical attributes of humanity, the world we live in and what we know, which frankly, is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It is extremely arrogant of us to presume we know vast amounts, which is, by definition, limited to humans and what humans can touch, see, hear or comprehend.

Hmm… I tend to learn from my mistakes. I don’t think I get punished for choices I’ve made. Karma, yes… Maybe if one does, intentionally bad, or things hurtful over and over in a life, they have to be helped to see the mistakes, maybe having to relive them through review, feeling what the victims felt. That would be hellish, I would think. But, I don’t believe this is an everlasting place. More like a time out, until you see your mistakes. Of course, if one somehow goes permanently down a dark road, there might be other things that happen. Lots of questions to seek out answers for. If you want to know things from past lives, you could always go the past life regression route.

I 'know' death is not the end and 'consciousness' is eternal. An NDE as a result of a myocardial infarction gave me the gift of experiencing life after clinical death. I 'know' that consciousness after death becomes more real than my present consciousness. After two broken ribs, I was declared clinically dead by the resuscitating Emergency Ward doctor and was brought back by the intervention of a Professor of Cardiology assisting over a mobile phone. I have undergone hypnotic regression and have seen my last past life. I would not have invented such a story if I was the author of what I saw. I now 'know' that we 'are' and always will 'be'. No amount of scientific research will give this knowledge. Only belief will result from researching past life cases.

They removed the re-incarnation in first council of Nicaea in 325 AD, and on the reason that humans will not be "religious" enough according to the church so when they are into only one life they would follow the church more - its more financial because there was a practice where people use to pay to the church for the sins or something.. Its a complete corruption at the highest level. If people stuck with that, let them be as these artificial corrupt systems and dogmas are already going away.

But let's be clear: comparing reincarnation research to flat earth theory is a woefully inadequate argument. One involves a body of research and documented cases that have been subjected to rigorous scrutiny, while the other is little more than a baseless fantasy. If we’re going to be skeptical, let’s do it right-by actually engaging with the evidence rather than dismissing it out of hand with poor analogies. True skepticism requires a bit more effort than just lumping everything unconventional into the same bin.

It’s always fascinating to see how the 'parents made them do it' theory gets trotted out as if it's the ultimate trump card in debunking reincarnation research. While it’s easy to wave off the evidence with a casual 'I don’t think any of this is evidence,' it takes a bit more intellectual rigor to actually engage with the details. You see, researchers like Ian Stevenson didn’t just take parents at their word-they went to great lengths to independently verify the claims. They documented cases where children provided specific, verifiable details about people and events they had no conceivable way of knowing. So, while it’s convenient to imagine that parents somehow orchestrated elaborate schemes to influence their kids into remembering the lives of complete strangers, that explanation starts to sound rather absurd when you consider the depth of the research. Of course, it's easier to dismiss the evidence entirely than to grapple with the possibility that there might be something more going on here. But if we’re going to talk about skepticism, let’s apply it evenly-perhaps starting with the idea that parents are behind some grand conspiracy rather than acknowledging the serious research that’s been done in this field.

Why, when someone believes he or she lived a past life, they say, "I was a princess" or "I was a king", but you never hear someone say, "In a past life I was a chicken" or "I was an aardvark?" 😁

that's actually not that common. I am a past life regressionist and none of my clients were ever princesses, most are just common people. My own first past life that came to me, however, was of a king who was very stupid and got killed. Nothing glamorous about that. It made sense to my journey at that time. Some food for thought.

@@EsoteriaHealing I have a lot to say about life after death and the universe and that is why I have broken it up into 3 parts.

@@collinparker2674 once again, given all of this explanation (which is not the truth since we have no evidence), there are proofs of people proving that they were conscious after dying and then came back i.e. NDE and there are proofs of reincarnation. Where is your soul spirit consciousness when you sleep.Not exist.. That's best proof : it's only brain
@igcll4 ай бұрын
Sleep is a complex state where consciousness is altered, but not absent. During sleep, particularly in REM stages, the brain remains highly active, and people often have vivid dreams, which suggests that consciousness is still present in some form. The relationship between consciousness and brain activity is still not fully understood, and while sleep shows that our awareness can change dramatically, it doesn't necessarily prove that consciousness is solely a product of the brain. More research is needed to fully understand how consciousness operates in different states.
@Pootycat83599 күн бұрын
@igcll And research by "sleep labs" indicates that people are conscious, even during the deepest levels of sleep. Here's the method. They monitor the individual's brain waves, and when they're at the deepest level, they're awakened. They recall vague, fuzzy dreams, which they forget, in seconds.
@LucyFre9 күн бұрын
@Pootycat8359 Another example is Hospital induced coma ( by insulin or other cause like vegetative state) . People can be 3 .monts in coma,hospital. They wake up and they don't realise how long they did sleep. All that time they where unaware unconcios) They not existed for few months. No consciousness no awareness. My friend after spinal cord Injury died on operation table few times his heart stopped. One time long enough to make his brain completely dead absent of oxygen, but strange enough doc's brought him back. Literally he was dead. He was not conscious all this time. He was not existing. Simple.
@Pootycat83599 күн бұрын
@@LucyFre But there are MANY cases of people who were clinically dead, no pulse, no brainwaves, nothing, who leave their bodies, wander around the hospital, even visit friends in their homes, return, revive, and describe events, accurately, that they couldn't possibly have known or experienced, from the operating room. Every person is unique, and people have a wide range of experiences. Personally, I've left my body (astral projection), so I KNOW I'm a spirit, who inhabits a body, and my consciousness is independent of my brain.
@LucyFre9 күн бұрын
@Pootycat8359 They are not brain dead 🤣 . If your brain cells are depleteted from oxygen long enough they die.... There's no return. Thous near death experiences are NEAR death experiences . But not death.We know that when your brain is suffocating it's producing chemicals DMT and others who produce hallucinations. That is why you have all this visions.
