We can then juxtapose their sources against our own and show the veracity of Islam. But one possibility is, as you stated “Al-Lah” which would mean “The God”. “Al” be “the” and “Lah” being from “eelah” meaning “God”. If you go to Google translate and translate God into Aramaic (the common tongue of Jesus), you will find the translation to be “Allaha” ❤ I pray for God to lift the arrogance from your heart and free you from the hatred that consumes you. He did not want to die. Who would. He did experience agony as any human. In His divinity He healed the sick, made the blind see, cast out demons, raised dead people. Once He accepted His crucifixion He went willing to the cross. At the two trials held before His crucifixion He was calm, and in control. He did not beg to be released. Pilate said he had the power to release Jesus but Jesus calmly did not answer Pilate. Does that sound like someone who feared dying?

The peshitta is not exactly in amaraic, but in syriac? When christianity took power in Damas, the scribe elaborated a grammar. This is the difference between aramaic and syriac. Note that the syriac grammarian elaborated their language when Qur'an was revealed. And arabic language grammar surpassed the syriac christian one. Logic :)

Also, when Bart Ehrman says there are lot of errors in the bible, when you look at the available copies we have today ( i think 5,000+), the said errors, which are just spelling errors of the copyist, are insignificant. That’s one of the reasons he left Christianity Bible is filled with contradictions like worship of a mortal man who is clueless of last hour (Mark 13:32), human sacrifice for sin atonement, Jesus being condemned as curse (Galatians 3:13) etc.

He came to reveal the redemptive purpose of God but certainly not His whole mind (see John 17:8). There is nothing here to contradict the many passages where His deity is positively and clearly stated. Galatians 3:13 just proved the point that His death has infinite value to cover the sins of humanity.
