Couple things I would change right off the bat, like height of the machine, and size of the push plate, but besides those two things I was very impressed with it

Couple minor modifications to the fabrication to this machine and I think it would be a top contender in the firewood game! I'm interested to see how the animal does!

Looking good Elliott. Moving that tote was a perfect example of why you need 4x4 on smaller tractors. There are guys that say older small HP 2 wheel drive tractors are way cheaper and of course they are. They also won't move a loaded tote without lots of rear weight and you make a mess every time. Quick pull of the lever and 4x4 will make less of a mess. Steering is also much with 4x4. Maybe content for another video sometime? Everyone wants a cool, super fast splitter but without a conveyor you can never keep up to one. Purpose build conveyors are so nice.

No doubt that I NEED 4x4. With all the mud and snow I get into a 2x4 would never work in my application. The conveyor has been the missing link to this operation, and I never knew it because you dont miss what you dont have.

That thing is sweet. I think you need a helper to load the wood. So you don't have to keep walking around. Either way, it saves you a ton of time.

Getting someone to help you split firewood is like getting someone to help you move. Tough to find volunteers...

You could put a piece of sheet metal over the top of the big gap on the tote

What size is the high pressure line from the pump to the directional valve? Is there a pressure gauge on the line too? I just upsized the pressure line on my box store from 1/2” to 3/4” line and it made a world of difference. So questions I have for the next splitter I purchase.
@EverythingElliott Жыл бұрын
Line is 3/4”, pressure is at 2500psi.
