American composite helmet history and comparison

This video will cover all the variations of the American composite helmet since its genesis with Pasgt through the ech helmet so around 30 to 40 years depending on how you look at it. This video will explain the differences between models go in as much depth as manufacturing processes to hardware and suspensions types. The helmets shown in the video are the M1 liner, Pasgt size large, ach size large, mk1 lwh size large, mk2 lwh size large, and the ech size large. The video will also cover some history of these helmets and the split in designs between branches of the us military to meet each branches specific requirements. Milsurp threw in one of those foam crown pads for free, too. Might go back and grab an LWH liner, though. They've got a few.

VintagePC's alike I would the lwh liner is much nicer but you won’t be able to use the crown pad

Devin Krueger ah, you find them all the time here in the UK (old school MK6 that is). I bought a MK6A a few weeks ago that costed £40 and came with ESS V12 goggles, MTP Cover and dark lenses for the goggles. When I was looking on eBay, I searched "MK6 helmet" and pages upon pages of MK6 and MK6A helmets (even some MK7's!) came up. You could easily find a pristine original MK6 for less them £50 on EBay UK in any size.

That Lwh is is the early one the correct one is the gen 2 lwh with pads

Kj Hilger the only difference between a gen1 and gen2 leg is the the gen 1 has 6 holes for the chinstrap and suspension liner. The gen2 had only 5 and has a pad type liner there is no rear center hole

there is a new kind of helmet for USMC with 3 holes mount which is called "mich" ( it's not mich from MSA) they also call it LWH gen II ( I saw 2 from Gentex ) with different tag and NSN. Tuấn Linh Đặng Lưu I've seen them and had a few they are off the shelf purchases for outside the wire use as the lwh interferes with usability but this year they will be entirely phased out and replaced with the ech

limodrivermike you can look up the Pasgt sizing because not just about circumference of head with these but Pasgt and lwh have the same fitting but good luck finding one and if you do they will be pricey
