That boy forgot to mention that he would be called a “Cheeseboy” in the township. He’s exaggerating a bit, but mostly accurate….😂😂😂😂 Township economies have improved dramatically in the last 30 years, when I was a kid everything in this video was 💯% spot on, whereas now the conditions have improved a lot for some and still the same for others.

Load shedding for a long period of time it might be a fault in the substations or transformers not loadshedding but power outage. The power company takes it's time to fix it cause most of residents don't pay for it.

Hi Guys, the language's... normally when south africans meet other people we have them on a very quick training course. we as south africans teach people as much as we can. Fun fact about afrikaans is that it is one of the youngest language's in the world and it is also one of the most complete language's in the world it has more words than any other language on earth
@tebohoketsise9222 Жыл бұрын
Most of the things that he said are correct, even though he used exaggeration in some, I guess it was for comic reasons. But there are some instances where he used isolated situations and mentioned them as if they're every township's norm. The water problem is an isolated problem. It's not an ordinary problem in townships. The uncle who is peaceful when drunk but violent when sober, I think he could be referring to someone that he knows. It's not a widespread thing. And again, in most of the townships the streets are not paved. But they're not so dusty that they can turn your white sneakers brown, unless if you're playing like a kid or kicking a ball with them.
@Siyanda266 Жыл бұрын
Ok i see some people saying the guy exaggerated on the water part, well in my Township in KZN south coast we haven't had water from the taps in 6 years now, the community has been on strike everyone has water tanks in their back yard we collect rain water
OK, but that is an isolated situation. Not like all Townships are like that by default.

Some of this things the guy is saying he is exaggerating. There is no such thing that a child can buy alcohol, no one allows that in the taverns. They won't even sell loss draws (smoke) to them. Well, most of us in the rural areas don't have bath tubs so we use a dish(vaskom). I still use orange pack to scrab when I bath even now It cleans nicely. The 6 months with no water is not true. Maybe a week. Yeah, I got picked my ear a lot when growing up. My grandmother wasn't playing games 😂
