@@TheNatashaDebbieShow , many Americans take British humour literally. I think it's common that Americans believe every joke has an element of truth or look for a deeper meaning because if we're calling them out it must be because there is some sort of ill will. When in reality, we just enjoy taking the piss out of each other.

"The thing about British humour, is that we will take the piss out of EVERYTHING" Bullshit. We have Hate crimes in the UK, if a 'Minority' (other than strait white) feels wronged, they will get a visit from the Police. We have an Online monitoring division of Police. For, Natasha & Debbie. I hope you never have this in the U.S. You are so lucky. Live free and safe.

@Bookofwords3 жыл бұрын
@@BoB-th8wm We do take the piss out of everything though. "hate crimes" and visits from the police is not even relevant. Theres a difference between humorously taking the piss out of something or someone...and a hate crime. It's one thing to laugh about...for instance... a Jews hat flying off in the wind and chasing after it...and saying Mr 1 ball was correct. The jokes that also centre around such things do tend to get police visits and will always just result in either a complete throw out or a fine. "freedom of speech" does not mean freedom of consequence. In America it is no different, if you joke about doing a school shooting, you're going to have police at your door pretty sharpish. if you joke about shooting up religious buildings, anything like that. jokes about bombings? police turn up... could go on.... Americans are also arrested for equally stupid things, like a lawyer 2 months ago was arrested for walking on a beach, dressed as Michael Myers and carrying a fake toy machette. tl;dr: hate crimes and comedy are not one in the same. Yes we do take the piss out of everything, and 99% of the time, no police would ever get involved in that. Also, on that, instead of commenting such silly crap like that, look at the numbers... since the law was put in place, 10,000 cases of hate speech has been prosecuted for it... out of 67.22 million people... that is not even 0.001% that you're basing your comment on.

Al Murray is brilliant, he’s so clever. At the beginning of his shows he talks to various different people in the audience and remembers all their names, occupations etc and goes back to them at different points in the show. When he asks if there are any people from overseas, he has no idea what country they are going to be from so that bit is more spontaneous. Hilarious 😂

Haha - you guys are great. Happy anniversary (and special birthday) - it's great to watch your reaction to Al Murray. You seemed to get some of the jokes that your compatriots didn't. (Well done!). Also, I'm pleased that you 'got' that Al Murray is playing a character - the archetypal bombastic british pub landlord. Brill. Please tell me you're fans of the NWSL (pretty please?) It'd be great if you're fans of women's soccer too. (Just hopin')

Thank you! ❤ Sorry not soccer fans, although Debbie played as a kid. Natasha is a big basketball fan 🏀

Great video - we are ok with food in UK as we are not experiencing shortages, just dealing with Brexit issues that’s starting to get back to business as usual. This is Al Murray as the pub landlord and is always funny in this way of thinking and focus. Definitely watch more of his stuff as pub landlord. Also it would be nice for you to cook American dishes that the British may like - perhaps research what British like and cook these? I discovered you by accident on my news feed so I am glad to say that I have now subscribed!

Al Murray has appeared as himself on a number of British panel shows - "QI"; "Mock The Week"; "Richard Osman's House Of Games"; "Taskmaster" - as well as "Top Gear" hosted "Al Murray's Great British Pub Quiz", and fronting numerous documentaries - but much of his live stand-up is as the Pub Landlord. He's even hosted shows in his Pub Landlord persona - "Compete For The Meat".
@graemecollin3 жыл бұрын
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it yet, but Al Murray took his "Pub Landlord" character onto the TV in the form of a sitcom, a few years back, called "Time Gentlemen Please". It ran for a couple of seasons, and is always worth tracking down if you can.

Loved your reaction to one of our national treasures characters. I've watched that show. But was in tears at your reaction. He's a very surly spoken guy and very intellegent.
