There’s no other ways to get points asides scoring a goal , getting the ball into the net, that’s what matters ,no such thing as points in a match , two teams play and to win you score goals

What makes points is complicated. You can outrun an opponent and still loose. What helps most teams is sticking to their tactical strengths and taking your chances. Some teams are known for having less than 30% possession of the ball and still manage to win.

yeah you definitly need specials skills as a striker to execute the goal even on a one on one, passes (assistances) are key unless you can dribble like 2 or 3 people in a 5 meters radius to get some clean angle at the goal, and then the goalkeepers will be upon you and reduce your options too, a lot of teams that have a solid defense will opt sometimes for counterattacking with a long pass and rushing when most of the team was on attack so they force like a 1 on 1 or 1 on 2, and thats like your are saying having less than 30% possesion. Other common scenario is when they score with the head, normally from a pass from outside of the area (the white square on each side of the field) where is more about precision of the pass and the position of the player jumping, but at the same time easilly defended by the goalkeeper that can use the hands and will always win in height, messi is quite short, he just dribbles everyone so he dont care lol

ARG won. I was supporting Argentina all the way thru!! Messi worked for this! Its definitely stamina and team coordination. It was decided in the penatly shootout, at the end. Penalty shoot out is nerve wrecking.

the penalties are given when a foul is commited inside of the square white painted area near the goals of each team. the last one for france was because the ball hitted the arm of the argentinian player, he should have jumped with the arms touching his torso so there would be "unintentional" and its not a foul (in cases like this where the opponent is kicking). the the other fouls are like hitting, grabbing t-shirts, and every type of aggression that is not pushing like shoulder to shoulder which is permitted to some degree, so defenders needs to be careful when the ball is inside that zone cuz if you like throw your feet and miss the ball, you can hit the opponent in the leg (and the attacker can kindly let himself fall, stopping the play) and get a penalty, messi is kinda the opposite, he gets hits a lot since he dribbles so close to the opponent and almost always try to keep they play going instead of playing the foul game, altough he did got a lot of penaltys in the WC, thats like the only defense to stop him, just foul him

They Played A 90 Minutes Match Consisting Of Two Halfs Each Half Is 45 Minutes ..In Those Two Halfs If It Happens To Have A Winner Then It's Over For The Losing Team But If There Isn't A Winner In Those 90 Minutes They'll Go To Extra Time Of Wich Is Another 30 Minutes Two Halfs Also Each At 15 Minutes If It Happens To Have A Draw (No Winner No Loser)It Will Go To Penalty Shootouts So They Can Get A Winner😁That's How It Goes In Football But That Happens Mostly During Quater Finals, Semi-Finals & Finals...
