I have no clue where did the Shaikh get that information that “wail (Woe)” means a valley in hellfire. I’ve looked the Tafsir in Arabic and English by Al Tabari and haven’t found any mention of that. As for the rest, it sounds correct. “وَلَئِن مَّسَّتۡهُمۡ نَفۡحَةٞ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَٰوَيۡلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ” “And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, “O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers.”(21:46)” الآية: ﴿ وَلَئِنْ مَسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ ﴾. ♦ السورة ورقم الآية: الأنبياء (46). ♦ الوجيز في تفسير الكتاب العزيز للواحدي: ﴿ وَلَئِنْ مَسَّتْهُمْ ﴾ أصابتهم ﴿ نَفْحَةٌ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ ﴾ قليل وأدنى شيء، لأقروا على أنفسهم بسوء صنيعهم وهو قوله: ﴿ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ ﴾. ♦ تفسير البغوي "معالم التنزيل": ﴿ وَلَئِنْ مَسَّتْهُمْ ﴾ أصابتهم نفحة، قال ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما: طرف، وقيل: قليل، وقال ابن جريج: نصيب، من قولهم نفح فلان لفلان من ماله؛ أي: أعطاه حظًّا ونصيبًا منه، وقيل: ضربة، من قولهم: نفحت الدابة برجلها: إذا ضربت بها. ﴿ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ ﴾؛ أي: بإهلاكنا إنا كنا مشركين، دعوا على أنفسهم بالويل بعدما أقرُّوا بالشرك. يقول تعالى ذكره: ولئن مست هؤلاء المستعجلين بالعذاب يا محمد نفحة من عذاب ربك، يعني بالنفحة النصيب والحظّ، من قولهم: نفح فلان لفلان من عطائه: إذا أعطاه قسما أو نصيبا من المال. كما حدثنا بشر، قال: ثنا يزيد، قال: ثنا سعيد، عن قتادة، قوله ( وَلَئِنْ مَسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ ). .. الآية، يقول: لئن أصابتهم عقوبة. وقوله ( لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ ) يقول: لئن أصابتهم هذه النفحة من عقوبة ربك يا محمد بتكذيبهم بك وكفرهم، ليعلمن حينئذ غبّ تكذيبهم بك، وليعترفن على أنفسهم بنعمة الله وإحسانه إليهم وكفرانهم أياديه عندهم، وليقولن يا ويلنا إنا كان ظالمين في عبادتنا الآلهة والأنداد، وتركنا عبادة الله الذي خلقنا وأنعم علينا، ووضعنا العبادة غير موضعها.
