And about your comment in the end, Satan never said that his goal is to point out man's imperfections to God. God already knows that man is imperfect. He created him to be imperfect. What Satan promised to do is that he'll make sure that humans are not grateful to God. This could be through denying His existence, disobeying him, using his gifts to us in doing evil, etc.. He vowed that since he's going to Hell, then he'll make sure that the most amount of humans possible will follow him there. As vengeance.

Pretty much different creatures/beings are explained by other people in comments so I will explain next part which is dead human souls do not exist on Earth, but all supernatural incidents are caused by the other beings called JINs (orc could be some other creations we do not know of, which we do not have knowledge about), So these Jins have longer life spans longer than humans and also have consciousness similar to humans. But they went reminded again not to fall into the tricks of Satan again. Hence the pattern or programme has been set. Stay AWAY from Satan his goal is to deceive the children of Adam into hellfire with him because he's already been cursed to hellfire. And if any children of Adam and Eve makes mistakes or has sinned then hurry up and go make repentance and ask for forgiveness to your Lord and he will forgives. This is Islam, this is the origin of why Satan was created, why Adam and Eve was created and why GOD kept sending prophets after Prophets and after prophet to keep reminding you the truth of this life, IT'S A TEST to see whether you still believes in God or you had been deceived by Satan. GOD KNOWS the past present and future and and he already knows what will be the ending for each and individual of us, whether we will believe in Him or Disobey him. That is why when the universe expansion is up, there will be a crunch, times up, and everyone will be resurrected and stand by your Lord on the day of judgement, the believers who has Correct beliefs and not worshipping false God or associating flawed idols with Almighty God, will be honoured and be entered to God's paradise by his Mercy. The disbelievers who disbelief, rejects the Creator of the worlds and was deceived by Satan, they will cry and regret on that day, complaining to God that the Satan was at fault, and that day Satan will say " I only merely whisper to you but you accepted them so don't blamed me for this day I cannot saves you and you cannot saves me " No other scriptures has described such a great detail about how the beginning begins and how the end will be. Not Vedas not Buddhist scriptures not the Torah not even the Bible they don't even know Judas actually died because there's a contradiction.
