American Daughter 🇺🇲 REUNITED with Filipino Birth Mother 🇵🇭 after 37 Years!

This is the story of an adopted girl called Megan who is looking for her birth mother. Megan was only 8 days old when she was put up for adoption in Angeles City in the Philippines. Her birth mother Marilou was unable to give her the proper care she needed and so Bryan Lucas a military man serving with the U.S. Air Force stationed at Okinawa and visiting the Philippines offered to adopt Megan and give her a new life back in America. Unfortunately Bryan lost contact with Marilou and raised his adopted daughter Megan back in the United States. Megan now aged 37 and Bryan wanted to try and find Marilou, to see if she was still alive and to reunite birth mother and daughter Megan. This is the emotional story of how The Leah and Blair Slog spent 5 months trying to track down Marilou and to tell her Megan and Bryan were looking for her!

I don't know how you do it, Leah May, but I am so grateful that there is someone like you and Blair who care enough to spend hours/days/weeks/months of your own time searching for mothers, fathers, siblings who were separated for reasons we do not even understand in the Western world. To see the poverty that afflicts so many families in the Philippines, causing them to break their own hearts when they decide to give up a newborn child so that child can have a better life and future. I don't know either of you or follow this channel. I was actually just browsing Cebu city and found your channel. Then I see this video and decided to watch it. All I can say is the tears started flowing. I too waited 37 years before I ever meet my birth mother and father. It took years of searching. I had never even seen a picture. However I always knew I was adopted. It was amazing to meet my mom and see people who are actually my blood. I have visited my mom now in hopes of rekindling a relationship, however it hasn't turned out to blossom. We are fb friends only now and it is unfortunate but it is ok. I also met my birth father the same day so a very emotional day for me. Unfortunately a relationship never grew with my father and he passed away 2 yrs ago in his shop from a drug overdose. Needless to say I cried watching this vlog and I wish U all the best!! I am coming to Angeles City or Cebu later this year for my first time and to hope to maybe meet a new connection. Life is Good and I appreciate this sooo much!! ❤
