American Dream blue law defiance vexes Bergen officials

For more than a year, the American Dream megamall has openly flouted Bergen County’s blue laws that prohibit “non-essential” retail sales on Sundays, and Mayor Christopher DiPiazza of Paramus is tired of it. DiPiazza says almost every business in Bergen County follows the blue laws, which date to the 1600s.

I feel this is one of those situations that's a if it's not broke, don't fix it. If Bergen county wants to uphold these blue laws they have every right to do so, but if businesses don't want to comply with that then move. You shouldn't be taking it into your own hands just because you don't agree with certain laws. You chose to operate in the county so you should be respecting that county's laws.

Just make the American Dream property part of Secaucus thus being part of Hudson County and then done. Bergen county keeps there blue laws and American Dream stays open how they want.
