Tommy did the best move at the right time and the right place when the dollar was so valuable and most properties were still affordable. As of today, his place and home is beyond the reach for most middle income Filipinos and probably to some Expats with no sufficient funds. He definitely is living the Dream! what a great man, been through a lot, loss a love one and still has a great positive attitude. definitely young at heart, would've never guess he's seventy years old. would be really nice, if possible in the future to do a follow up interview, so many questions: i.e. what made him choose Siquijor of all the other islands in the PI, what are his hobbies or what does he do daily, and how does he handle his living expenses? salamat to you guys and Tommy. LOL, Quick thinking Matt !! " I chose not to be single " !!! Good answer :) I would have loved to see Maricar's face when you said that :) LOL !! Can you guy's do a follow up and elaborate more on House prices, what it would cost to get established, Like is there home loans available and you make a down payment and monthly payments on a house ? Also, are there Hospitals on the island or Doctors for annual check up's or do you have to travel somewhere for medical care ? I was going to ask about availability of single women for possible relationship, but Tommy made that clear " Great for a single man " LOL :) I love the low key, no frills, tropical beach lifestyle but like you said just afraid to make the move.
