In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the nighty F15 Eagle fighting 2 SU75 Checkmate, one of them flown by Echo6, thanks for the help buddy, hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthog , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Geez Longshot, you're getting far better and better, damn Surprised you didnt use the F15 EX in this video, the 20 AMRAAMS would easily be enough to handle 2 Checkmates "its all about high speed " Lol, this is why you really really should try the Mig 31 , you dont know what speed is until you're shooting R37s from 80000 feet or higher, at near Mach 3! (plus it has fuel for days) /You can tell i've been spoiled after flying the JSN64 Foxhound mod lol - nothing else moves quite like it does

@@traviswalker8933 The spino mod still shows the power of what extreme ordnance can provide though (i'm aware it probably doesn't have a radar that's accurate, it's probably using the F 15C radar (it might have to take from Razbam's strike eagle radar which would require people to have that mod too, alas) - and the engines, not sure if the EX's ones are the proper upgraded ones in DCS in that Spino mod- but the SPAMRAAM(or with 260s) is worth it alone

First off, the APG-70 is an ancient radar which was based on late 1980s technology with a couple of updates from the APG-63V1 program in the 2000s. Razbam's ability to track VLO targets with it, as shown in Growling Sidewinder's J-20 fight is highly exaggerated. The APG-70s biggest achievement, for the time, was the use of range gated high PRF as a substitute for MPRF as part of the SAR mapping package which just so happened to also improve its long range air to air LRS-tracking stability. Aviation Week talked about it, back in the day as pushing Maxwell's equations to the limit in terms of how many calculations you could make with a given set of sampling datums before the changing environment (closure rates, EW, target aspect) made the built trackfile range-uncertainty irrelevant. It was indeed a marvel for it day but today, the power of modern signal processing on-antenna (DTRM, there is no DSP, there is an RDP) is such that it's pretty common place. AESA, with it's much faster PRF scheduling, 'gate speed on antenna' agile waveforms (micro beams and swept volume 'brooms' of aspect transitional coverage, tracking multiple target with tuned closure rate PRFs) dominates anything the APG-70 could ever do. Yet the F-15EX is more than just the APG-82 (most powerful AI radar in the USAF, bar none) and the AIM-120D missile truck factor. It has HMCS (so does the F-15C to be honest), it has air to air Sniper pod modes and it will get the ASG-34 Legion pod which is an actual 60nm IRST. It has full function Link-16 secure modes, including IFDL. It has the ALQ-250 EPAWSS which means you can generate fire control quality passive tracks if the threat illuminates you and jam him with 'digital stealth' sophisticated techniques off a smart towed decoy and the nose radar. And, if you strip the CFT (which the Razbam F-15E will not allow) the entirely new FBW _not hydromechanical CAS_ FLCS means the F-15 will do what the Hornet does which is 60` alpha at zero knots. It literally flies off the inlets, using them like canards, in combination with the expanded tail controls. Against which must be set the reality that the Russians are walking down someone else' plowed furrow. They don't have to discover it all, themselves, just copy and compare with our notes. Meaning they are likely exploiting stolen X-32 design database knowledge with Chinese advanced automated composite layup machines and ZERO requirement for STOVL as an engine in the middle bloat of the airframe weights with a giant tail pipe. Thus they can _refine_ what they have learned, on their own, with the Su-57, throw in some baseline RCS modeling using their supercomputer complex, and employ high end, large scale, composite layup automan which uses giant autoclaves to cure much larger, composite elements as single piece wing sets with pre-stuffed fuselage system canoes, slung underneath. All of which will lead to a much less expensive (single AL-51F-1) and vastly better signature controlled followon fighter, intended exclusively for the export market. Russia doesn't need (cannot afford) another MiG-21 for home defense. They need a very fast, very long range, interceptor which carries the next generation (Izdeliye 810) successor to the R-37M. i.e. The MiG-41 baseline for a Mach 4+ heavy fighter, operating from a relatively small number of internal bases. But, to pay for that, they must break into the F-35 sales market with a jet that carries more missiles, has vastly better aerodynamics and most especially costs less to purchase and to operate. Because it is not a manticore of three other variant design element compromises. 'Gen-6' is likely going to be the last manned generation. Gen-7 will be all about maximum ULO with cheap cost and long persistence. Either as a missile truck or a forward sensor platform for targeting (largely ground launch = cheaper) cruise and aeroballistic missiles. No bus platform required. i.e. A UCAV. For the Russians, this is Okhotnik because they don't have this Templar chivalry cult of manned uber alles fighter pilots. But to control those unmanned systems and perhaps to protect them, with high performance escorts, the Su-75 will also be useful. They are making all the right choices, whether they have the technology base to achieve their dreams or not, whereas we are stuck in this time loop of Mighty 8th, MiG Alley and Going Downtown Hanoi Fever which is essentially all about the Benjamins as we attempt the impossible which is protection of remote, theater-periphery, base-in from missile attack. In a fighter that has a 1,500nm radius, is subsonic and has a baby onboard who gets all cranky pantsed around about hour 10 of a 12-15hr longrange sortie. We refuse to accept that hypersonic PGS as in XTV2 and mini-Falcon (6-10,000nm legs instead of 20,000nm orbits) is the next step for a strategic player like the United States, which has to bring it's warfighter to the theater without the cost of increasingly unaffordable and unwelcome as well as vulnerable foreign bases. Changing the bomber role to a dominant one, using Time Zone spanning standoff munitions, and largely obsolescing the fighter pilot, along with his horse, Rocinante.

Hey do you think the Strike Eagle or Tomcat is a better starter aircraft? I've asked Growling Sidewinder his opinion as well and I would just like to see y'all's opinion. I recently started DCS and want to start using fighters.

For the most part it goes by what you love the most, because you will have more motivation to learn all the systems of the aircraft and really get good at it. But if you love both equally, then I would say the Eagle since it’s a better fighter, and you have more multi role capabilities and also you can practice using your own radar. Also before purchasing either, I would say try a higher fidelity mod like the A-4 mod or the VSN F-4 I thinkkkk doesn’t require FC3, these kinda get you a feel of what the high fidelity modules give you.

The F-15 has a huge radar signature, but it has an outstanding, enormous radar that can pick up targets much farther away than smaller radars.

@@pahtar7189 Exactly, it has a huge radar signature, when up against checkmate like aircrafts, specially which are stealth optimised from a frontal aspect, the F-15 would be detected from a huge distance away and would have to dodge missiles before it ever gets the chance to detect or lock on to the adversary. The checkmate pilot would play to his strength and work to maintain that distance so that he can engage BVR.

Russia didn't have the money when the plywood Checkmate mockup was shown and they certainly don't have the money now. And foreign sales aren't gonna make it happen due to the poor designs/quality of Russian weapons made famous on social media sites. Videos of the famous airborne turrets of T-72/80/90 tanks, S-400 failures in Syria and Russia, "Terminator" tracked vehicle carcasses littering the Ukrainian countryside, shot down Su-35s still smoking in Ukrainian farm fields, Moskva and other ships sunk by a country that doesn't even have a navy.
