I think my mum came to one of my sports events, maybe two, my dad ... when he was alive, I bet he couldn't even tell you what, if any, sport I ever did. That said, even when I was getting awards for being top of the state in academic subjects no one showed up for that either, I bet if you asked my mum right now she'd have no idea/recollection of it ever happening.

To be fair a ton of American families buy their kids old hand me down cars after they get their license, and I ton of them give favoritism to the daughters too. Some of them are a bit lenient too with staying out late but those parents are kinda a dying breed. America aren't a monolith (and I never said other Western countries like Australia were).
@andrearace1168
@andrearace1168 2 ай бұрын
No matter the country, people like to project the stereotype of the country they're from since that's what people want to see. As an American, it's a shame that it seems Americans have respect for other countries and cultures, but that respect is not reciprocated. I also agree with the person above, that our culture isn't monolithic. My parents never went to a single one of my games, and never bought me a car of any variety

Man, people’s standard for accents is atrocious. All the vowel shifts remained except they pronounced the rhotic “r” at the end of words and that enough for some ppl to be like, “yeah, not bad.” It was probably the worst attempt at an “American” accent I’ve ever heard. Still funny though.

First off, good job with those American accents! Secondly, the family meetings I had growing up were about finances. My family was lower middle class, and with my parents both working in education, we were barely making ends meet. In our family meetings, my dad would tells us that we would have to be cautious about our expenses and to forgo unnecessary things. I was only a kid and that is what I remember growing up 😭

My American family is a lot more like the Australian one here, but I have definitely met a lot of the depicted American ones. Its a cultural thing but also a class thing.

Darcies's acting as the mum's hair was absolutely outstanding. It was so realistic I was starting to wonder if my hair is an imposter

Getting Any vehicle is brilliant and not expected for the majority XD The Allen's Party Mix was priceless but the beers are going to have to be smuggled inside. My young daughter had the same experience for one of her ju jitsu grading but I did attend the whole day. Thank you for another legendary vid guys
