My American family has NEVER been to Japan up until now!! They are in for a treat! In this video, we hit the ground running with them and have a blast spending the first few days in Tokyo. :) We experience and learn more about the Japanese traditional dress & cultures, experience amazing views of Tokyo during the sunset, and have a blast riding around Shibuya square on Mario Karts! It's a freaking blast!
Not only that but they are amazing grandparents and wanted to see our girls in DisneySea and Disneyland! We definitely ate our way through the park and had a blast doing it with family!
As always, thanks for watching! Please subscribe to keep following along :).

So much delicious food! Thank god I was eating breakfast while watching (Good Morning from Germany!). Tokyo Disney looks amazing! Also, Noah is showing so much character already, she's so cheeky! You can see how she's really engaged with everything and even tries to pull little pranks. I recently rewatched the first Germany videos while deep cleaning the house, and Noah grabbing for every piece of food she can get really shows she is Willa's sister 😂 Also I wrote under one of the first videos you made in Japan how I can already see you in my mind wearing kimonos and that was spot on, so naturally now I will be changing my career path to professional medium🔮

She is so cheeky! We can't tell you how many times we have thought to ourselves: "Oh, we are in for it with her personality" of course, we love that she has so much personality at this age and we're excited to see how she grows up. These two love each other so much already and they also get into fights nearly every day lol. Yes, go for it! lol

Welcome to Sumida-ku and Asakusa!! Asakusa is oldest play city from long long ago.And Hnayashiki is oldest Playland in Japan, Asakusa-Ueno line was oldest metro in Japan. But did you watch 「Hotaru no haka」Giburi 「Grave of the fireflies」, After WW2 all was burning, Sumida River was full of Dead people, my grandfather did ofter all cleaning work in militaly, and viel of children were living inside here Ueno Metro, and viel children dead like Seita. anknowlege dead human oil shadow rests yet on Bridge of Asakusa. There is Yose too in Asakusa. in Edo time Yose sistemated like a language school, many people carried lot of diaretto in Edo, aber Rakugo and Koudan of Yose was language theathr teacher of Japanese normale with 😂. When you will come in Sumida-ku in next time, please come Kokughikan and carry up by Sumo Rikishi. That will for children fortune. P.S When i was student, I sang marriage ceremony Disney see hotel milacosta😂.

In Japan it always seems like just a vacation. Not like a real home for you. It's a shame that you didn't stay in Germany. But maybe again sometime. It would certainly be better for your children in Germany too. So we hope you will move back to Germany soon. You are always welcome.

That was alot of fun to watch. Just had to rewind the video to 12:54 for some times as I thought to hear the sound to Mary Poppins song of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". Would be also interesting to know more about that Mario Kart ride in the public streets of Tokyo. How is this organized? Do you need to have a valid drivers license to go on? As someone without knowing the "street rules" and signs you could cause severe issues... Anyway, just loved it and you guys obviously had a lot of fun yourself which is most important.
@OurStorytoTell
@OurStorytoTell 5 ай бұрын
The Mario Kart driving is limited to those with an international driver's license. There are several companies who offer the rentals, and when you show up on the day of the tour/rental, you get instructions, and then have a leader sho drives in front to show you which way to go and such. Thank you! We had a blast while they were here!

Willa is getting so big so fast. And little Noa is ever cuter. Nice Kimonos you chose. Do you feel that Japanese natives might resent foreigners and tourists wearing kimonos? Go-cart riding right on the regular streets sharing the space with cars seems quite frightening to me 😧

quote "Do you feel that Japanese natives might resent foreigners and tourists wearing kimonos?" Same question came into my mind. But I guess in case they do, they would never ever show that. Due to what they consider as polite. But I may be wrong....

I'm sure there are locals who view it from both sides, but as a general perception when we were walking around, getting ready and such, that it is not looked down upon. That said, Japanese can be reserved and soft spoken at times, so they might be thinking something different. We like to think that most have positive thoughts about foreigners wearing kimono :)

@@Mwoods2272 Thanks for answering. I have seen it in western Arfrica that people see it as an appreciation and it makes them proud, but since there are big differences in cultural mind sets, I did not want to transfer that assumption to other countries.

They take advantage of loopholes in the law to do business with foreigners. Japanese people think it's a nuisance. Japanese people think that foreigners who are happy without knowing such things are irrational idiots. If you are different, please don't do the same thing when you come to Japan.
