Can you use two wires? I noticed you only have one.

How long you need to charge it before using it?

I charged mine for 4 hours only because I couldn't wait. Neighbor has cows. But I think you are supposed to wait longer.

Do you have to place a ground rod every 10 feet?

Do you know how to charge this device with a 6V trickle charger? The lady with the company told me you can charge it with a trickle charger, but that is all she knew to tell me, so in reality, she didn't know what she was talking about. I guess my ultimate question is, I wonder If you're supposed to take apart the charger and hook up the battery directly to the trickle charger or if you can use the terminals on the plastic housing of the device to charge it with? We have a bear visiting our beehives and can't do the 3 day deal on charging, if you know what I mean, haha!

I charged mine with using the solar it came with. And that's all I've ever done since it was new and it is still functioning great. Only difference now is it still has the the job as before but now it also keeps our calve in.

@@thecountrybunkins8896 I gotcha, thanks for replying! It's comforting to know that it is working well for you!

I left it on the fence post all winter. It was turned off as there were no cows in the area to be concerned about. When we got our calves I walked the fence line, clear the tumbleweeds and turn it on. No problems. Pink tape on the wire helps attract the cows and our calves. After a zap they stay clear of it.

It’s solar. Lol You turn it off and set it in the sun and the sun charges the battery. Or if you’re not having enough sun you can take the battery out and charge it that way. When these work, they are amazing, I have two 18 mile ones and they have given us trouble which we have not found the issue yet but holds 400 lb hogs with no issue when it works. Hope you get yours charged.

So its supposed to flash!!! Ok could NOT find that anywhere in the instructions!!!!!!
@thecountrybunkins8896 Жыл бұрын
If your grounds are good it will flash if not it won't. every so often my calve play with my ground wire , posts or something with the ground and I never see it flashing when they do. Also, I'm getting ready to change the battery after three years not bad for a leas acid battery.

Mine works great, not the strongest charger but could use a new battery. Gets a little weak at night when it gets cold out. Try a new battery.
