AlphaTauri is an Italian team because when Red Bull bought Minardi (an Italian team) and rebranded them as toro rosso (now AlphaTauri), Minardi’s final request was for the team to remain based in Italy.

Another race you should look at is the 2019 German GP, it was voted as the best race of the last decade and F1 has an exended highlights video as well as the normal highlights but I reccomend watching the 20 minute video as it gives a lot more context

@@niampatel9115 Canada 2011 was great but I wasn't into F1 yet. Although I did watch the full race later it doesn't have the same feeling as watching it live and that is probably why so many races voted in the top 10 of last decade were from the last 2 or 3 years with the new audience

Hamilton was all the way back, because he entered a closed pitlane and got awarded a stop and go penalty. He couldn't serve it because of the red flag, so he had to within three laps of the restart and fell all the way to the back.

Emilia romagna is the location of the Imola race track and its an Italian subdivision at the border of central and north Italy (altough normally geographicly considered part of the North), since F1 races can't have more than 1 races with the same name, hence the name: Emilia-Romagna Gp Btw did you know that Ferrari were literal trash in 2020?

Alpha Tauri is from Italy. The team was called Toro Rosso (Red Bull in Italian) and this was their 2nd victory. The first one come in 2008 with Vettel in his first season with the team. This was Gasly´s second podium after he finished 2nd in Brazil 2019. Also, in this race the Mercedes were having truobles with the temperature of their cars so they couldn´t follow another car from behind and use the drag to get more close to fight. In a track like Monza, take advantage of the drag is key to overtake since it has 4 major straights.

Hamilton’s pit stop (the one you said was quick) was completed whilst the pit lane was closed, as Magnussen’s Haas blocked it. He had to take the stop/go penalty within three laps, but the red flag meant he had to take it at the restart, causing him to drop right to the back.

@@APFJJ Mixture of bad luck and bad judgement, Mercedes should have told him to stay out when they knew it was closed. The yellow light with a cross through it (which symbolises that the pits are closed) is fairly difficult to spot, and Hamilton didn’t look at it/didn’t have time to check it before pulling in. He realised on the next lap and asked if they were in trouble. One of those things that happens occasionally but rules are rules.

For some context: - First, one year ago, Gasly was at the lowest low. As it was previously said, Gasly was demoted from RB to TR due to his lackluster results. Then the Belgian GP arrives, and during the F2 Race, Anthoine Hubert dies on a terrible accident. Anthoine was actually the best friend of Gasly (Anthoine was the first to send a message to Pierre when he was demoted, saying him "Prove them wrong") and the race Sunday was very hard for him, but he still managed to score some points. - Before Monza, he showed he wasn't finished by finishing 2nd in the Brazil GP, overtaking fair & square before the finish line Lewis Hamilton. - Then, this victory at Monza was not only a special moment for him, after all of this, but also for all France. The last French F1 Winner was Olivier Panis during the Monaco GP 1996 (Pierre was 3 months old btw), which means a drought of 24 years, 3 Months and 18 Days (according to Julien Fébreau, French F1 Commentator). The next day, he was all over French Tv Shows, Newspapers, Radios and more. F1 was and still is considered as a minor sport in the country but for a moment, he became THE headlight of his country and he deserved every second of it.

Alpine is a sportscar brand owned by renault. It was always Renault f1, but in 2021 they rebranded the team to Alpine, which is basically still a renault but with different colors. The pink car was a racing point and is pink because of the sponsor BWT. They're now Aston Martin and BWT has gone to Alpine.😅

Gasly pitted before the safety car so when the pitlane was closed he closed the gap and when they all pitted they came out behind. And as the video says Lewis pitted when the pitlane was closed for Magnussen's broken down car, he got a 10s stop/go penalty which dropped him to last

Racing Point is Aston Martin now. Lance Strolls father bought Racing Point. And as his father also own the majority stake of Aston Martin the Racing Point Team got rebranded as Aston Martin in 2021. Alpine is the sports brand of Renault. They just renamed the Renault Team to Alpine also in 2021

Gasly got to second because he didn’t stop when everyone else did and he got lucky with the red flag because you’re allowed to change tyres during a red flag so he completed the 2 tyre compound rule without losing time in a pit stop (basically)
