Someone has probably mentioned this before, but you should investigate playing any of the editions of the "Football Manager" series. The immersion will give you a massive, broadened understanding of the game of football.

Messi can be a winger, a trequartista (an offensive midfielder that plays close to the offense) or a second striker, which is a position usually covered by a very technical striker that plays a little farther from the goal and focuses more on dribbling the defense and provide assists to the first striker, while also scoring himself if the opportunity arises. He's one of the best in history at that, with numbers that put to shame most first strikers.

wickets are important. while you batting. The batting team can only lose 10 wickets then they are out, no matter how many overs are left. For the other team, when they come in to bat, need to match the final score. they can achieve that without losing any wickets or losing 9. Remember that every team member is required to bat so it means the best batsmen come in first and get progressively weaket as the wickets fall and other battsmen come in, even the bowlers.

Well to be real tiki taka was never a style of football, its was a something that came random by a media personality/commentator watching a match and said something of tiki taka and the phrase became popular, the person most credited for this style of football is rinus michels who coached johan cruyff, and johan bulit on it and johan would coach pep at barce, pep built on from there.

EVERYBODY STOP WITH THE IGNORANCE! Messi is a midfielder. An attacking midfielder. it's amazing the confidence in which some people talk about this without knowing what they are talking about. It just so happen that Messi gave an interview recently with Juan Pablo Varsky on the Clank! channel in which he talked precisely about this, and his positions throughout his career. Look it up and see if you can find subtitles if you don't speak Spanish. In case you don't I'll summarize this point. They talked about this on the 13th min of that video. Varsky asked him "were you limited as a winger when you started at Barca?" Messi played as a right winger under rijkaard because and I quote "I had no choice", they talked about how in his time in La Masia he played as a CAM central attacking midfielder, with Cesc fabregas as a 5 (DM) and Victor Vasquez in front of Messi as a 9. But he says and I quote again "I was never a winger" I am an "enganche o mediapunta", I don't know the English for that but the closest is Attacking midfielder or a number 10 who also arrives as a second striker. This was explained in detail by the man himself. He also has a free role, that's why he drops very deep sometimes, or pops up anywhere. That's a classic 10 in Argentina. So please, you can call messi many things, a Winger is not one of them. Get it right people.

My mother was born near Wrexham, my father in Oldham. I and my sisters divided between their teams. When they were in the same division we used to go watch their matches. In the early 90s it was great to be an Oldham fan. In 89-90 they reached the final of the League Cup (lost 0-1) and the semi-finals of the FA (3-3 draw with Man U, lost the replay) the following year they were promoted back to the 1st division after 68 years, finishing champions by winning their last game. They stayed up and became founder members of the Premier League. More recently they became the first former Premier League team to drop out of the Football League, joining Wrexham in the National League for one season, before Wrexham moved up.

This summary is not a collection of historically outstanding moments but rather a depiction of match days, as there are many. By the way, no one in Europe says “soccer” but football. Most Americans don't know why or why the scene is the way it is. This all comes from the history of Europe and the war that has lasted well over 1,000 years. Football is not just a sport, it stands for much, much more. Many say (me too) football is war by other means. American football has nothing to do with the history of society and clubs. For us it's just absolutely uninteresting because it's boring and unimaginative, among other things. USA equals business Europe equals passion Too much business, like in the USA, simply suffocates everything, and none of us would accept that.

Since you are fairly recent into the sport, it's hard for you to trully comprehend this, but Brazilians used to dominate the sport, not as much as Americans dominated Basketball, but not that distant from it either. For decades almost every position had a Brazilian name in the top 5, maybe even top 3. During the late 90s and early 00s their NT was like the 90s Dream Team with multiple players who could be best in the world at any season. Nowadays their NT, for many reasons (injuries, poor management, ego, etc), looks like a caricature of their past and it's sad to watch their 'averageness',. Neymar had very bad luck too since most of the guys in his age group or slightly older were always injured, in another timeline he could be playing with guys such as Ronaldinho, Adriano, Pato, Robinho, Kaká, Ganso, Oscar, Lucas, etc., but by the point he reached his prime they were all out of theirs. Seriously though, you need to dive into Brazilian football more. Also, for your practice, I recommend you giving a look at the Pivot position in Futsal

Ronaldinho is the best ever in history present and future of football on individual level and team level. He uses all parts of his body. He uses his both legs equally efficient making the defender hopeless against him. He is a magician an artist. God of kicking, free kicking, dribling, passing, controling the ball (you must check how he controls some difficult balls), scoring, faking, he puts fear in the defender. The defender will never know if he will pass or go thru or kick the ball. His way of running with the ball implement to the defender that he can do the 3 possibilities because his weight is always forward. If you watch a complete game you will notice that the defenders were beating him up. Like hearting him. He combines the best players ever and he does it all with a smile. R10 when he plays everyone are watching even the players. GOD of football.

In today’s climate - it doesn’t seem such a feat. But Liverpool hadnt won that premier league and champions league yet with Klopp and Barca were still prime Barca This was an impossible task or viewed as so. Today if Liverpool beat Barca 4-0 it would be half expected That’s just how far Liverpool have come on since Klopp took over …

Two major teams from a major city. ( Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid, Man U vs Man City, Bayern Munich vs Dortmund, Inter vs AC Milan)

I have more issues with Rodri, not even the best on his own team, wining than with Vini not wining. That said, yes, he was robbed. And it was mainly because of politics and Spanish racism. Also, there's no "class and fair play" criteria, this is just silly.

Ronaldinho was in many ways the perfect player. Incredible dribbling. Incredible scoring abilities. Incredible ball control. Incredible vision. Great passing. Great with both feet and head. Great pace. Great acceleration. Great workrate both in defence and attack. At his highest peak, he was better than Messi. Unfortunally he was more interested in women and partying, he was even late for a CL game becouse he had partied all night and although fantastic he only reached those peaks sporadicly.

One interesting thing to point out about the Messi X Ronaldo rivalry is that for the first time ever (duo to globalization) you had the two best in the World on a single league (unless you count 60s and 80s Brazilian leagues). Their atitude outside of the pitch also clashed a lot. Messi was discreet, even shy, and married to his childhood sweetheart. While Ronaldo was scandalous, provoked rivals, colected sports cars and was always dating models. Is like Messi effortlessly showed he was the best, but Cristiano really cared about being the best and a star. This further composed the mythology around them.

Hi, I'm a Flamengo fan. Nobody knows exactly about what the original FlaxFlu split was about. But soon after it became about class and race with Fluminense being the elite upper middle class club and Flamengo the popular club. Back in the day the football was very racist and Fluminense (like some other clubs from other Brazilian states, specially in the south) would bar black players from joining and make the mixed race players hide their hair or even use powder to make their skin look clearer (to this day, one of the nick names for Fluminense is "rice powder", as in make up). Today, Fluminense is very far from its racist practices for the better part of 50 years, but its still desproporcionally represented on the upper classes and among whites in Rio de Janeiro. It's still the most well-known (internationally, as the video you reacted shows) and, in my view, the second biggest rivalry in Brazil, despite the fact that Flamengo is now much bigger in terms of conquests, money, club size, etc. Fun fact: they are both classified for the new Fifa Club World Coup now by virtue of Flamengo recently winning its third Libertadores (think South American Champions League) and Fluninense recently winning its first one.

In an american sports context.: Imagine Kyrie Irving with all his skills but also with enough ball IQ and impact on the game to be an MVP candidate in his prime. That's who Ronaldinho would be.... And the Neymars and Messis of this world are his children. They are directly influenced by him.

Ronaldhino is that type of player who I truely enjoy to watch playing football due to his outstanding talent BUT a player I don´t want to have in my team by no means. He was a lazy athlet, always partying, therefore often not physical fit and as consequence often injured = he was not "a professional player" due to his mindset = very bad influence for the dressing room... As Pep became manager at Barcelona Ronaldhino+Deco showed up late to the pre-season training session and both were also drunk = Pep kicked them out immediately and those 2 had to leave the club, rightfully so..

As fluid as the formations are, one thing to keep in mind is that the optimal players characteristics for each are different. So you would need some very versatile offensive players to change as fast as you would want. Some teams do this, but it's often between games. During games small adjustiments are more common. For example, for 4-3-3 you'd ideally need a more mobile striker and faster wingers good at 1 on 1 situations. But for 4-5-2 you'd need a more imposing and phisically threatening striker and more versatile midfielders.

You should have picked a replay that shows the lead up to the 4th goal. It’s quite the exercise is deception and wizardry by TAA. Also want a clip that shows the team standing in from of the Kop singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” with the crowd after the match. Epic stuff
