A true gangster would have been understanding the situation real quick and would have come with something better than “I buy it, i own it” as he should have known that even in commerce you would be unable to buy 100 bottles of pepsi, mix it with fanta and then selling them as Pepsi. The shooter was the father of a boy sexually abused by the prisoner and he didn't think the sentence handed out was enough so he took care of him himself (ruining his life then too). Such an amazing storyline, characters, soundtrack and led by two legendary actors, Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe who brought so much emotion, and action to it. What makes the film even greater is the many lessons and lines that are brought up, and what's even greater is how it's based on a true story. Honestly, worth watching no matter what. Josh and Cuba are excellent, and Denzel is a powerhouse as usual, but crucially there’s no sense of actors ego getting in the way. They bring out the best of each other, all scenes are captivating and just roll on so naturally. Excellent professional actors at work.

I don’t know how to describe it but Denzel Washington’s movement when he gets pulled over by the cops and he’s asked to look in the trunk. There’s somethings so effortlessly graceful about it. Like he’s exuding confidence but at the same time nervous

If he did, the best thing he could do is cut Nicky off, no more Blue Magic for you Nicky. Frank sells to him wholesale and Nicky sells it retail. But if Frank says "welp, it appears you aren't going to stop chopping my dope, so you get none from here on out." Hurt Nicky in the supply chain, that is what I would have done.

@paulcolburn38553 жыл бұрын
@@donc7984 Nicky was sales. Frank was supply chain. Its not that one was bigger or smaller than the other. Frank supplied the blue magic because Frank had the connections in Southeast Asia to get #4 heroin supplied to him uncut, 100% pure. So when Frank chopped it up, it was still the best on the street AND the cheapest on the street. A two-fer. That is why everyone (including Nicky) wanted to deal it. Nicky just further chopped it to sell more of it. So what Frank should have done is cut him off, no more blue magic. That is what I would have done.

consistently great, he's really found his stride with certain roles, but he's fallen in to the trap of being fairly narrow. For that reason alone, we couldn't say he was the best, consider, Will Smith, Jamie Fox, Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pit, Jonah Hill, Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta, Daniel Craig.... and I'm just getting started. All of them talente,d all of them with better range, but I'd agree in this niche, Denz is by far the best.

After watching this so many times I just realized that the conversation in the club both start and end with “my man” but it is totally different feeling and meaning
@vinsanity9823 жыл бұрын
My interpretation of Cuba throwing the glass and yelling is that he was just putting on a show so he doesn't look weak in front of his guests at the club. I also think Frank recognized that and didn't take it personally. That's my he just said "My man" and left. Frank knew he got the message and would comply.
@bravo12243 жыл бұрын
I think Cuba was genuinely mad. He had shown a lot of restraint in simply agreeing to Frank’s request to change the name, but when Frank said “catch you” that implied he (Frank) was the boss and Cuba was doing something sneaky. I get why he got pissed enough to throw the glass. Frank was also testing him a bit with that authoritative language and so when Cuba barked back he (Frank) smiled because he knew their was still a “line” he should respect. In any case, great movie.

Old age has nothing to do with knowing and seeing that the quality of actors has gone down as the years go by. Name a actor or actress that can compare to greats like Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Mel Gibson as controversy as he is you can’t take away the fact he is a good actor. Morgan Freeman, etc. It seems Hollywood and even the music industry are more focused on how a person looks face and body wise but I would say 95% of your best actors and actresses were regular average looking people but had beautiful seasoned acting skills.
