Bonnie and Clyde didn't die in a "shootout". They were executed. A "shootout" implies an exchange of gunfire. B&C were ambushed from cover by a group of law officers and died in a literal hailstorm of bullets almost before they knew they were under attack. In this case, the act, though cowardly was probably the smartest thing the officers could have done. Believe it or not, this young couple were extremely dangerous people who actively hunted and killed law officers so this was pretty much the only way to accomplish their deaths without losing officers in the process.

The Mob Museum is in my city and I wouldn't waste my time to go see it for free. But a casino at Primm Nevada has the Bonnie and Clyde ambush car and I stopped in to see it. That was cool. And free. And the breakfast wasn't half bad.

I wouldn't mind trading my SA 1911 for that one, that is for sure. But if I were looking for the more authentic GI 1911s, I'd probably be hopping on those 1911s CMP is selling soon.

If I had lottery money I would sure by the gun that Clyde Barrow died with. That would be dope AF Kind of morbid but I also thought all the bullets that were sent through their vehicle that's surprising his gun didn't get hit 🤷
