He's not being a dick at all. He has to resell the items to make a profit. That's the nature of his business. You're obviously not going to get full-retail when you sell your items at a pawn shop. That's the drawback. You get less than retail at a pawn shop in exchange for quick cash.

"Middle Eastern countries decorated the guns instead of using them" And thats why they were called 3 Black Powder Nations. Ottomans used guns and canons before anyone in the Europe could. You can't read Turkish. Turks never used Arabic, they just used the alphabet during Ottoman rule.
@DieGoetterdaemmerung5 жыл бұрын
First recorded use of hand canons in europe is in 1326 (islamic world is just 14th century because there is no recorded date), the knowledge of gunpowder came to europe and the middle east in 1240, in europe through the Mongol invasion and to the islamic world by trade with india. The Ottoman-, Indian- and Mughal Empire were called the Black Powder Nations (a tern used by western historians) not because they were exclusive to use gunpowder but because they were the only ones outside of Europe to massivley use it (the chinese had it for centuries but never made much use of it) while the rest of the islamic/indian world simply stagnated in terms of technology - something that later happened to these 3 Empires as well when Europe made huge advances in naval combat and architecture (canons being basically useless against european fortresses) ulitmately leading to european nations conquering and ruling the world for the next 600 years.

Why would he even sell it both at the same time, he could sell the $2500 for $1500-$1800, then the $1500 could sell $700-$900, he could totally get $2200-$2700 if he didn't sell it at the same time. Rick's technique was to combine the worth price then start to bargain, but if won't combine it the seller could get much much more money.

There are 2 patterns when Rick screws people up. The first one is when he says "sweeet" when shaking the hand. The second one is when the seller says his last price, and then Rick does a very deep sigh. Then waits a bit. Then says "ok, but you're killing me here" (or something to that effect). In both situations, Rick is scamming the guy.
