Oh goodness.. they are both incredibly gorgeous. Tiana is more unique overall though, with a unique skin tone and a more rare eye color. She would be my personal pick.

i too was surprised at the thinness of tiana's coat and dress. little bit disappointing considering the price, but it's such a cute outfit. i wasn't planning on getting any of the dolls, but the urge to get tiana grows with each photo/video i see, this one being no exception lol

Oh, I LOVE what you did with her lips. That is such a better look for her! I don’t think I’ll be purchasing any of the Disney dolls (unless I can somehow find Belle for a good price), but if I ever did end up with Tiana, I’d do the exact same as you. Beautiful!

I loved all of this. Tiana looks so pretty with her hair down and re-curled and with her lips re-done. I think you did a wonderful job on her lips! I had no idea that the shoes to the work outfit were dark blue. I really thought they were black, so that was news to me. Thanks for pointing that out! This is funny I own Tiana and she is not orange. I will say as an African American person my mother's skin tone has a copper undertone and that is what Tiana's skin tone reminds me of her. Welcome to my world that when taking pictures we have to adjust for our various skin tones.

Yes 👏🏻 the skin does have copper undertones but she is NOT orange. I love that it reminds you of your mother’s skin. It’s irritating that cameras don’t pick it up very well. It really is stunning in person!

LOL ! I would have wrapped it in a napkin (cut to doll size) so the coat pocket wouldn't have gotten greasy. I like to make things look as realistic as possible.

The comparisons are so fun and one of my favorite parts of having a larger collection. I remember while mine was smaller, I always was googling comparisons of different dolls. I think you’re right, tall hair and high heels probably made her too tall!

You are awesome for sharing a very thoughtful perspective of supporting specific lines. The only doll I have is a Truly Me #46 doll from 2015 who has the Sonali mold and her skin tone looks like it could be similar To Tianna’s somewhere between the 30-35 range. I want her to have these beautiful lashes and lip color like Tianna’s as well. Her original is like a brown nude.

She's too cute. This is what I want, her with hair hair down or a low ponytail and her work dress. She's an interesting color though, like it should have been a darker and redder shade. She looks a little too light to be Tiana, pretty though. Since my only AGs are Addy and Melody I'd feel weird getting Tiana over Claudie. AG to me was about the historical aspect, and this feels like a Disney cash grab, but at the same time she's so pretty though. I'm torn.

I can see why you’re torn. If you like the historical line and want to support it, I think Claudie is the way to go. She’s also extremely beautiful. You’ll love whoever you choose I’m sure.

You have such a thorough and accurate comparison of Tiana vs. Claudie! My personal favorite is Claudie. I was considering getting her work outfit (mainly love the beignets) but was hoping the coat was thicker and more substantial. I would have liked to have seen it lined. I feel like the Something Navy line was such beautiful quality especially for the price once everything was marked down! I would love to see another collaboration come out of similar quality.

Tiana's work outfit looks AMAZING on Claudie. The colors almost look better with her complexion than they do with Tiana's. The Something Navy collaborations have been my favorite, too. I felt the price points matched the quality pretty well.

That is so good to know about the outfit on Claudie. I am passing on Tiana since I prefer Claudie. Yes, Something Navy was such great quality.....I didn't feel like they skimped on quality with any one piece (perhaps the glitter shoes but for $5 on sale it wasn't an issue). I just hope the quality with their clothing lines in the future don't get cheaper with higher prices.@@EvelynRoseAG

Thank you! Cinderella has a new skin tone, also. I’m bringing her home to customize and will either leave 125 as-is or give her a different eye color. I’m planning a major eye swap operation where I’ll be switching around the eyes on a lot of my dolls.

This fabric is used for the costumes sold at Disney. I live in Central Florida and go to Disney quite often and my GD's had costumes over a 100$ Disney made in the fabric. It is very durable and does not wrinkle. Plays for children well. Just thought to share. Thank you.
