US trucks are pavement princesses and loves the highways. The Chinese ones can crawl up a mountain with ease but maxes at 80kph on highways.

These bauxite is sold cheaply under priced. By now Jamaica should have its own refinery making and selling products to the world, instead is the other way around.

What is "a short period of time " ? At the end of the day it is about total cost of ownership compared to how much you get out of the investment, and without any real numbers we can't really say if Chinese trucks are bad or not, but around here the Chinese trucks are doing fine and have done so for many years, so I doubt that they are as bad as some people claim.
