American Home Shield: Is This a Joke? Customer Complaint!

Yeah. Took me a whole month to get my hot water heater replaced. In the middle of winter. Congress needs to get involved. Even then ,I had to pay about 400 dollars extra for parts they did not cover.

@HomeMembership My toilet has issues also. This was yesterday. Took a week to send someone out. He replace a couple of seals on my faucet. But could not fix the toilet because he was not qualified. Same thing happened to my ac unit. He told me that they only do home warranties. You would think that all the money you spend on those monthly payments that they would send you a qualified technician. They are real quick to take your deductible when you call. They take it straight out of your account. These companies need to be investigated by the federal goverment. They need to be seriously regulated. But my major worry is our senior citizens. What will happen to them in the middle of the winter and summer? It's a matter of life and death for them. I will cancel them. Makes more sense to just put those monthly payments away for this kind of stuff then to throw it away in a black hole like AHS. SAD VERY SAD.

2 years without heat or air conditioning in my bedroom(ikea down comforter is my best friend). calling over and over telling them it's mini split having them send out unqualified tech. Finally got a new mini split

@@heypatk The real victims is our seniors. Most are on a fix budget so they get sucked into these scams thinking they are secure with their appliances. Until they get denied or have to pay extra. I'm going to write my congressmen and see what they can do. Providing they are not being lobbied by these companies. 🤔

Just canceled my contract with AHS as I’ve experienced numerous negative experiences. I will NOT recommend this shady company, AKA American NO Home Shield to anybody. home

Do not get this insurance they are a scam I had them for almost a year and I called twice and every time it’s an excuse why they can’t cover you. Please stay away!

American home sheild use to be good. now it is awful. i am done with them. deny service or send a repair guy that will go along with not covering the repair.
