Freak show seemed more along the twisted lines of horror- little things were made more horrific, like that damn creepy clown (already scary) made even worse by seeing what was beneath the metal smile. This season seemed more twisted than horrific, but it was still good, in its own way. Especially considering this was the last season with Jessica.

Sydney McKissack If I remember correctly, Dot wanted their mother dead just as much as Bette did. Also, Bette says Dot tried to kill her before, and since there was no scene in the show that shows this (again, if memory serves), it likely happened before Bette killed their mother. Dot just wants to live the life she wants. Like Elsa, she has stars in her eyes and will do anything to get there, even murder her own sister.
