Okonomiyaki sauce is yum! I’m surprised they didn’t put the traditional bonito flakes on top (they are fish skin that looks like it’s moving/dancing). My mother in law is Japanese and my husband lived in Japan for two years. I’m a bit jealous with all the amazing food you two are eating 🤤…love watching your travel vlogs!!

Yum!! Can you give a little insight on your experience with different languages? Have you found most people speak English fairly well? Or you use a lot of google translating?Hopefully none of your hand gestures have offended anyone 😄. It’s so interesting how those things change drastically from country to country. Thanks for sharing!

Honestly, Japan was probably the country that spoke the LEAST English! But everyone is so friendly and we’d use Google translate when necessary to get help along the way. It was perfect.

I stayed in Shinjuku in a hotel near the godzila in APH Hotel. You have to try the crapes there, so delicious and the tampra prawns my favourite. There is a toasted cheese sandwich I have seen on another vlog channel in Japan, and it is rainbow coloured cheese. I never found it when I was there, or the giant candyfloss's. I can't wait to go again. Oh and before i forget you must go to Kokyo i think that's how you spell it. 💖💙XXXXX

I am Japanese. When eating sushi, soy sauce should not be put on rice. It will fall apart. An easy way is to put soy sauce on the fish after it has been tipped 90 degrees, so the rice will not break. You can also eat it with your hands instead of using chopsticks. It is not against manners; rather, authentic sushi restaurants eat with their hands. And eat it in one bite!😄

Japanese people are very picky about taste and are quite inquisitive about good food, so bad restaurants are quickly eliminated. The ones you should definitely visit are eel restaurants, tempura restaurants, soba restaurants, and shabu-shabu restaurants. Do you go outside of Tokyo? If you go to Kyoto, don't miss the tofu restaurants and kaiseki restaurants. In Kyoto, you should make reservations at restaurants, even for lunch. Otherwise, you will not be able to eat at good restaurants. The food in Osaka, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and other areas is fresher, more varied, more distinctive, and tastier than in Tokyo. Please look forward to it🎵 By the way, Japanese women are very conscious about taking care of their beauty and health, so they don't go to ramen restaurants! Ramen is the food of old men. It has a strong taste and high salt content for Japanese food, and is representative of food that is bad for your health. (One bowl of ramen is more than the amount of salt you are allowed to consume in a day. It is probably about 8g intake. The same goes for curry😱.) We don't eat ramen because there are so many more delicious Japanese foods that we can't eat enough of that will make our bodies happy🌱🌱 Eating at chain restaurants, family restaurants, etc. is a waste! Please, enjoy your trip to Japan to the fullest ✨

You both should try to connect with Kara and nate. There also a couple on KZbin traveling the world! There so much fun and the four of you together for a few days would be an epic vlog!
California rolls are NOT quite sushi at all. Authentic Sushi restaurants in Japan never serve anything Americanized such as California rolls. The place you chose looks fine, but there are true great Japanese sushi places in Tokyo. I hope you will experience that kind next time you come to Japan.

It's surprising that Japanese people don't put mayonnaise on their sushi. Because it spoils the taste of fresh fish.
