You go Clay!!! America truly loves you! Ruben was great too. I must say tho, I wish Clay did win. There is so much controversy about their head to head singing battle. Oh well, America still has bought more Clay Aiken cds then Ruben so it goes to show who they really thought should win. He did wonderful on this song. It was the perfect song for him to sing. 'Somewhere Out There', 'Solitare', and 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' were his other great singing conquests.

The fact that Ruben won means absolutely nothing. The fact that the American public failed to recognize Clay's talent doesn't mean it isn't there. Also, has anyone heard from Ruben lately? Cause Clay is still around, simply proving that real talent will nearly always prevail.

Not only does Clay have an amazing voice, he brings a quality to the stage that no other AI contestant has,past or present.If it was about talent, he should've won, but it was about popularity.Ruben,the"velvet teddy bear" image was pushed right thru to no.1. So sad Clay didn't win the title, he worked really hard.Clay's very intelligent on interviews too.Sometimes Ruben seemed mean to Clay when he was trying to be playful-it is a turnoff for me.Maybe I'm biased, but I love me some Clay!!

I know its so aggravating that he diddn't win. However I've heard that the plus side to him not winning, is that he actually had more creative input over his first cd and subsequent appearances, than he would have if he'd won and been signed into more binding contracts, etc.
