Melinda was my favorite of season 6.....I even bought her album. She is awesome and knows the best singer when she hears him....Adam freaking Lambert. She is so right. Just saw him twice in concert this week....it doesn't get better Melinda. Thanks for showing us how you feel and not holding back!

I was harsh to Michael in his assessment of No More Drama in part 2, but he's totally on point here re: the disparity of Trent's performances. why one worked and the other didn't; calling out JLo's sparkly onsie; and giving Ryan props for remembering David Cook's Billie Jean. (I honestly think Ryan was one of the best things about the night. I've seen clips from X Factor and the difference between the "hosts" there and a pro like Ryan is huge.) Am I the only one who just didn't connect to MacBourne's Billie Jean? It sounds nice when I listen to it but don't pay attention to the lyrics but when I think about the subject matter I feel like Harry: "Do you know what you're singing about?" It feels like a disconnect to me; David Cook really dug into the darkness of that song. It's the difference between a man and a (man)child. And am I the only one who was bored by Adam and Lalah's Welcome to my show? And I really like Adam but this was just - meh. The chorus repeated over and over; and I found Laleh's stage presence odd at best. I kept wishing someone would bring Allison out of the back so we could have had some real vocal fireworks.
