Camden is home to the Roundhouse music venue and, British bands aside, that was where, in 1976, so many U.S. bands made their British - or even European - debut. The Ramones, Flaming Groovies, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Blondie et al...all in the space of a few months. So glad I was there.

Good video, well filmed, well presented. Did you know fish and chips represent British diversity ? The fried battered fish were brought to us by Jewish immigrants and the fried potatoes by Irish immigrants. They lived there n the same areas and customers bought them together

@@paulm3033 isn’t it lovely ! My lecturer in university took a sabbatical to write a book about it lol. Women in the east end of London would cook and sell them through their front windows. I read Joseph Malin a Jewish immigrant in 1860 in Bow first sold them together. 😃

Nice video. You’re very well informed from what I’ve seen so far. London is more than 606 square miles in size, so while you may be seeing much of what central London has to offer, that’s only about 10% 😊

I think chicken tikka masala may have replaced fish and chips as the national dish. It’s a British riff on Indian food but so delicious. And I’m glad you got the Big Ben thing correct. It’s not likely that you’ll see it but if you wait a while you will certainly hear it.

Sorry didn't look the best fish and chips tbh. Did you know chicken tikka masala has overtaken fish and chips as the favourite UK dish. You're right London is a melting pot for all races and religions.
