the actual Movie that needs to be watched is (1990 film Air America) which was adapted from Christopher Robbins' 1979 non-fiction book....it depicts the very Start of it all "the steppingstone" for the birth of the workings for American Made to ever happen.

Great reaction Amelia like always, I like this movie its fun to watch, this movie is based on real events, like we all know Tom is a qualified pilot. He did all of his own flying scenes during filming. And the crew members experienced a tragic event on the last day of filming. On September 11, 2015, stunt pilot Alan D. Purwin and his Venezuelan co-pilot, Carlos Berl, were killed when their small, twin-engine Aerostar plane crashed during foggy conditions in the Andes, near Medellin, Colombia. The pilots had just finished their work on the film prior to the crash, which left a sole survivor, Jimmy Lee Garland, who suffered serious injury. Ten minutes before the fatal crash, Tom Cruise had been aboard a helicopter taking the same route in similar weather conditions as the ill-fated flight. JB, Barry Seal's wife's brother, is a fictional character. The real Barry Seal had no such brother-in-law. Keep up the good work.

Great choice. I'm a working pilot myself with a background in bush flying. Dodgey activity and GA still goes hand in hand today especially here in Australia and the Pacific. "Air America" is one movie you might enjoy, it's got Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr star in it.

The real story of Barry Seal and the Cartel is much better than this movie. But this movie was ok. I loved the part when good old Slick Willy,Bill Clinton,called the Attorney General of Arkansas to let Barry go. Clinton in real life was involved and had a hand in covering up the Mena,Arkansas deal and those two poor boys who were killed because the witnesses the drug plane dropping kilos of cocaine from the plane.
