That’s very sweet of Erin and very touching. I don’t have any tattoos but planning on getting one on the back of my neck in calligraphy that says “Made in Philippines Assembled in USA.” (without the period 😂). I was born in Philippines but migrated to USA when I was 12. I’ve been in USA for 34 years but my heart is still in Philippines.

For someone who just recently lost both of his parents.............this episode really made me cry when I saw how the Father reacted to Erin's tattoo. I always wanted to get a tattoo but my parents didn't want me to. They passed away in 2021....one after another. To this day I still can't get myself to disobey them...mostly my Dad who was a Lawyer/Army Colonel. I am full grown man but I still follow my Dad's strict discipline...like no tattoos and no body piercings. If I ever get to muster the courage to get a tattoo, I will also have their initials permanently needled to myself. I am also beginning to plan a trip to Buscalan Village in Kalinga to see the old lady tatto artist "Whang-od." I have met her before when my friend got his tattoo. This is my favorite episode so far this year.

The tattoo artist, over 100 did a small tat for " Marco Roams " He is from Australia and does a very good story. Give him a look and you can probably find his story to the old lady artist. It is quite a long trip.

My wife got homesick one afternoon in Everett. We were in our first little apt., married maybe 2 or 3 . months. It was maybe 4 or 5 pm here and maybe 1 or 2 am there. She called her Aunt who had the only phone. Their maid answered really early in the AM she woke the Aunt, then the maid went to the next lot about 200' away. Wake up her mother. They had their talk, mom said don't call so early. 1978 Some times her friends today will call us and it is early AM for us.
