Rammstein are just epic. Fun fact, in the official video for this Ich tu dir weh, Till actually had his cheek punctured to have the light in his mouth. He wanted to do it on tour but was advised against it, infection, repeated puncture wound etc. So as you see here, its a wire run into the side of his mouth.

One thing most people don't realize about Rammstein is they were born before the fall of the Berlin wall and were from east Germany. Their song radio gets into this some about what the divide was like. I think most of their perspective comes from being so close to the darker history of their country and trying to work threw understanding who they are in that weird history.

I came across your reaction videos for the first time today and watched them all. I find you very sympathetic on a human level and appreciate very much that you pay artistic respect to a completely different genre - than your own. I myself grew up with rap, hip-hop and graffiti, but I've been a Rammstein fan for many years now. At first I was looked at weirdly by my childhood friends because they thought rammstein was on the right (I was and always am on the left). I immediately fell in love with the play with the language, the lyrics that can be interpreted several times and till's voice. I've also been to concerts several times and you really get goosebumps all the time. In response to the accusations that they were right-wing, Rammstein released the song "Links 2 3 4" That says it all. And to Till's vocal volume, I recommend "Seemann" or "Ohne Dich". They're older songs, but maybe you'd like to listen to them. I like you and your videos very much. Keep up the good work and God bless you. Greetings from Germany and sorry for the bad english 😮😂

Hello and thanks a lot for your great reaction from a very very very old guy from Germany. I didn't take notice of Rammstein for almost 3 decades, Two years ago I saw a reaction to "Du hast" from an American KZbinr and was instantly excited. Wanted to give them a try and listened to a second song. And liked it very much. A third, fourth, fifth song and could not believe that every single one appealed to me. Today I have 40 favorite songs, all of them are just awesome, musically. Every song is unique and different, most of them are power songs, some are funny or creepy or weird or kind of experimental or ballades or - the latest - mature universal songs. While music and effects are outstanding the lyrics and themes are often provoking or disturbing or even disgusting. Most of it makes sense when you know a little bit more about the background. Just two important facts: At least 2 members (lead singer Till and lead guitarrist) had very bad relationships to their mothers (that's probably why you'll find hardly any love song from RS) and all of the 6 band members experienced the downfall and economic collapse of their homeland Eastern Germany (After WW II Germany was seperated into West Germany with close bonds to capitalist US and UK and East Germany which was part of the communist Soviet block). Maybe this are two explanations why the texts are often só dark, But musically Rammstein has an unbelievable list 40 to 50 great songs. Few examples: "Sehnsucht" (live Moscow 2019 multicam), "Zeit" (official video, very beautiful and calm), "Du riechst so gut" (live Hellfest Festival 2016), "Ich will" (live Hurricane Festival 2016), "Adieu" (official video), "Mein Herz brennt Piano version" (official video), "Wollt Ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?" (live Paris), "Mutter" (live Paris), "Klavier" (live Paris), "Deutschland" (official video), "Wiener Blut" (live Wacken 2013). As I said it's just a small selection, another RS fan could easily 10 other great songs. One remark to the pyro. I once heard Lindemann say in a documentary that he was bored on the stage and was a little bit unchallenged (maybe the reason for his stagefright) and started with it and it grew.Wanted to write something else but forgot it. One result of 7 years Parkinson. RS is one source that gives me strength. All the best to you guys.

Official video: "Deutschland" (2019) with the automatic subtitles translated in English, they're very good, and there again you need to understand what is happening, it's epic... (and please always watch the official videos until the very end!)

They wrote a song as an intro for a professional boxer. Its called "Sonne" and live its freaking madness, I saw it in 2019 and 2022 and what the fuck.

Let me start by saying Rammstein is my favorite band and has been since 98, with that being said, I've absolutely loved watching you guys discover and experience them for your first time. I know you said this will probably be the last reaction video you make of them and I can fully respect that. Let me just say though, don't stop digging dipper. They have so much more to offer and I think if you look further you'll find some really amazing stuff, even down to songs that don't have videos or live footage. Hope you guys enjoyed what you have experienced and seen and thanks for the great content!

In Denmark we are spelling Amerika with a k too…. So it’s just not spelled in their origin language….

I've been to about 10 Rammstein concerts in the last 25 years. They just did 2 days in my city Odense in Denmark 2x60000 people 5 miles from my house 😊

I think you figured out the auto translate on a different reaction content. Too bad you didn't know that at the first if all the Rammstein videos you've done. But I've really liked all your content since i found it. It's cool you like a lot of metal. It's great watching rappers and opera singers.

Great reaction! Do next "Mein Teil" Hurrycane Festival, then you know what the apron is for!! Talking about the lyrics is perfect - always essential for all of their songs.

Rammstein music also appears in the movie Lost Highway from David Lynch in 1997. Actors didn't know about the song aired while acting. It gave them chill ;)

Rammstein's music genre is called "neue deutsche Härte" which means new german hardness. With their music they have virtually founded their own metal subgenre.

Buckstabu also does English subtitles. Their concerts are truly incredible. Till is an interesting man, for sure. He has a side project as well, I love it, but not for everyone. They are very open- minded, liberal 😅, which is so great imo.

I really like your reactions to rammstein, so nice to see how hyped you are abour what they do. I wish i could have the feeling of all this for the first time again, just epic what they do! FUN FACT about his illuminated mouth. You can barely see the cable going into his mouth in live performance. Anyhow, for the music video he literally let them put a hole into his cheek to put through the cable because he thought it wasn‘t good looking for the video if you can see the cable. They speak about this in the making of video

I was hoping you'd react to this one ! If I'm correct, the singer (Till Lindemann) had a tiny hole made in his cheek for the cable to pass to have that light coming out of his mouth (you can see it in the clip) but it kept getting infected so they gave up on the idea and manage and get a tube at the corner of the mouth instead. Also about the lyrics basiclly "the wait is over, open your ears to a legend, Rammstein" can be simply interpreted as a welcome after being forbiden to play in the USA for a while (because of the massive use of pyro considered dangerous).

Rammstein Live concert may be the greatest show on earth at the moment, by far. These guy's know what they are doing, they are hard core professionals, but they have also great sense of humor, and sense of drama is quite obvious. Their pyrotechnics is completely crazy, their show is so over the top, that it is hard to believe, and music is excellent, if you like hard rock.. There is plenty of full concert videos, but I recommend that you go and see it yourself..😁👍

I took my 15yr old daughter to her first concert in June - Rammstein in Lisbon. It was the most mind blowing concert I have ever been to and we can't wait until they tour again, definitely going to travel if necessary and go to more than one next time! Now worried she will be very disappointed in more or less anything else she sees(!). The music is about 120db (self-imposed limit to protect their audience) and you can definitely feel it as well as the heat from the flames. I had a German colleague back in the 2000's who was into them and I wished I had paid more attention back then.

they grew up under communism ... so human rights are very important to them. They are left politically. Once, during a show, Till saw some skinheads bringing the nazi salute. he got very angry, called them "scum" and had them removed by security

Only Till can wear a hairnet, pink boa and an apron and still look macho as fuq!! And with this song he could lead the masses to war!

The video clips are also worth watching. Ich Will (already mentioned in another comedian); and Mein Teil; Benzin; Links 2 3 4; Du Riechst So Gut are best to watch live, the audience participation is incredible; Auslander; Sonne; Radio; Amerika, these video clips are very good, it's worth watching.

I really want to see your reaction to their songs "Feuer frei" and "Mein Teil" in Live version P.S. Sorry for mistakes, my english not so good
@Arinyah1 Жыл бұрын
As for Amerika with a "k".. that's how America is written in german. English prefers using C, German the K. "In" has the same meaning in both languages. To help with the "ei" and "ie" pronounciation of Rammstein or Lied etc.: use the english pronounciation for the 2nd letter of either. ei= "i" sound, ie= "e" sound.

Feel free to ask me anything. 🤗 Please check out the live versions of Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen and Linls 2, 3, 4. All original clips from their latest album Zeit are amazing, e.g. Zeit, Angst and Adieu. 👍🇩🇪🤗 All the best, Marc
