The last time I saw my father alive he was in a hospice bed. I poured my heart out for an hour at his bedside, clearing out years of things between us. In the end I told him how much I loved him and asked him to just let go. I like to believe it was all that he was hanging on for. Two hours after I got home I got the call that he had passed. I can never hear this song without thinking of our last time together.

The OG MJ was awesome. I think all of us old-timers would agree.... back in the day, there was nothing like him. His stage presence was impeccable, his love of true rock-n-roll was second to none, his dance moves? (duh!). He was the GOAT. such a sad loss, but that man could rock when he wanted to. Just look at the list of guitar players that he had on his albums!

In case anyone was curious, the song at the end of "I shot the sheriff" is called "it's bigger than hip hop" by Dead Prez. Which shows how talented Ren is because that song is a very fast RAP song from 2000 and sounds nothing like anything BM did. BUT Dead Prez def has quite a few lyrics around BM and his ideals and beliefs the pairing is so clever and GENIUS.
