I thought it was really mean to scare them to the point where they probably thought they were going to die. 😢💜 They looked so scared. Jungkook was just a kid back then. I agree. Please watch all the episodes! Not many reactors do because most of ARMY didn’t like the kidnapping scene or Coolio R.I.P., but it gets better. There are some really great moments and the members did actually gain a lot of knowledge and experience through this. I loved Tony and Jimin (aka Chim Chim’s) relationship. And their interactions with Nate Dogg and Ms. Iris. Also, for a bonus, watch Cameron Phillips dubbed scene of the kidnapping, it’s hilarious. 😂. When the were taking off the shoes, I could only hear Cameron as Jimin saying “ I love this Simon Says strip tease..😂😂😂😂😂😂”

The kidnapping part was so bad, BangPD was very angry and I believe he actually called the CEO and had a few words , remember jks only about 15 Korean age at this time...and there were some who were not really kind to the boys.. Not really a great show for them but they did learn so much.. To this day Tony and Warren g are still very good friends with the boys.. The press is notified usually about their travels

They learned a lot it was a very important time for them and their art you can see direct connections from this to their next project especially on giving homage to where their impression comes from and respecting the culture. omg you're reacting to BTS American Hustle life?? That's great!! It has some cringe moments here and there but overall it's good! This ended up being a meaningful experience for the guys, they learned a lot not only artistically but also a lot of life lessons. It's always fun and amazing to watch BTS in the early days 💜😂They definitely have grown a lot as artists and as human beings. BTS worked really hard to be where they are now. I believe that the only positive result of being kidnapped on that show and in that manner was that it gave all of the members a heightened sense of awareness for themselves, each other, other people around them, and their surroundings whenever they traveled, toured around the world or were out in public. They knew what being kidnapped in a foreign country and fearing for your life felt like. There was an instance on the show where Jimin was talking to RM in Korean about someone who was driving them to another location while the cameras were rolling. Jimin was wondering if they could physically overtake the driver if the driver decided to kidnap them. They decided that they would be able to overpower the driver. LOL Or at the very least, the kidnapping prank taught them to always keep your vehicle doors locked whether you're inside the vehicle or not.

He had a hard exterior but on the inside all they wanted was to see you do well. Please watch all of the chapters and see how much the boys learned while they were here 🤣🤣🥰🥰

AHL has its pros and cons but overall I think the experience did help them grow a lot musically and as people. There are some iconic BTS moments too. I do think Tony is a good dude, and nate is decent, but that other mf'er can go to Hawaii if you know what I mean

Yeah the kidnapping was ouy of line (my opinion). RM told Bang PD to never put them in that situation ever again. They did learn alot during this time which reflects on their growth as artists. The way Jin and Tea were treated was out of line too. They were so young then, they were so scared, especially the younger ones. I didnt like the first few episodes

What they learned during this show they still use today. While this show seems cringey in the beginning because the guys were so young and inexperienced, this show gave them the edge. I get why they did the cringey. Life is not always pleasant. It can be downright shtty. But beauty can grow from manure. Look at all the great music BTS put out because of all the sht they went through. There are a lot of KRappers that think they are better than BTS but they don’t have this experience by learning the roots of Hip Hop, Rap and R&B. BTS get it. Thank you Bang PD for allowing the guy to learn. Thanks for reacting to this show. Once you get past episode 2 it gets way better.

I liked episode one as well. Yeah they were scared but it’s soooo not the first time they were pranked. It was such a good learning experience for them and they did let management know not to do that type of prank anymore. I honestly laughed too, they weren’t going to let anything bad happen to them. Maybe I have a warped sense of humor but I find pranks funny. I didn’t like the tutor in the second episode and happy that it changed after episode two. This series was fantastic for them and opened some doors.

The only thing that bugged me at the very beginning was the fact they were very young, in a foreign country and the only one that spoke English was RM. Even though it was a prank they didn’t understand what was being said to them. I wanted to give poor JK a hug. He said he was biting his lip because he was nervous but it looked more like he was about to cry. He was still pretty shy back then and would get emotional. But I think that show made him stronger. Made all of them stronger. I grew up in rough neighborhoods so I get it. Life is different. I think the show gave the guys a deeper appreciation for the culture the music originated from. Respect!

Overall they learnt so much through this series, met some amazing people who broadened their minds, and have carried the positive things they learnt with them to this day.... Fun Fact - while filming this they were also making their album. Once filming finished for the day they would have to go to their studio (in a rented garage) to record all night. They were phsically and mentally exhausted by the end of the 2 weeks.

BUT .. once you get into episode 3 and on ... the members learn and grow so much ...and also they form long term relationships with some of the crew from Hustle Life ... ill watch with you Tre .. 🌌🎵🖤

Have you ever heard of "sasaengs?" They know every move that their idols make. So it wouldn't be difficult to know when they are departing or leaving. Also, sometimes staff will leak the info. Maybe sometimes even the company might to get the coverage out there when new albums are about to drop. There are alot of ways fans find out when their idols will be at the airports. ❤

Now you will see for yourself and think for yourself. So many try to erase the complete experience BTS had in LA. It helped to shape the foundation for them to grow on. YES, The 1st day was chaotic but initiated and approved by their managers. It was to break all stereotypes they came to America with about the people Bang PD sent to teach them. They found all those stereotypes about Blacks to be lies.

when Jiminie mentions Kookie told him the air was different I'll point out something I didn't know until I became ARMY! the air in SK is seriously contaminated? not sure how to say it. The winds bring fine dust from factories, reason you'll find tons of people wearing masks, faaaar before covid existed. They use it also to prevent catching illnesses but they have that fine dust problem. In news reports besides the weather they also report how the fine dust is gonna be during the day

I’m a late bloomer army and was cringing watching the first episode. The kidnapping thing situation was scary and can be traumatizing to anyone. Imagine going to another country and people kidnapping you. Another thing is they had Black men do it, which triggers a bad stereotype. I didn’t want to keep watching after that but part of me is curious, especially since Coolio was in it. (I’m a 90’s kid).

Trust me, it is definitely eorth watching, there are a few episodes at the start that are not so cool, and at times just straight up wrong, like the kidnapping part in this episode. But truly, it turns out to be a fantastic series. (minus scatchy parts towards the beginning) But yes, 💯 percent should keep watching all the way through. I think this experience probably helped shape some parts of who they are today, in certain ways. They seemed to have taken with them some great lessons and really good memories, overall.

Thank you for doing this Tre. This really helped the guys learn about hip hop and rap. As so many have said, i do think they could have done better than the kidnapping, these young guys are from another country and so young. JK although saying 15, thats in Korean age....really he is only 13....all the guys wete so young and as this goes on you'll see some of these guys constantly disrespected and were very unprofessional to the guys. Warren G had to step in cause it got so heated. It was a mess!! I truly think that a few of the guys were jealous of these young boys in their ability to do what they did, like writing and producing and such. All the guys are in their 20's unlike the boys. Anyway, I've seen the whole thing but would like to see how you see it and what you think of it and the way they are treated by all the guys. Than you Tre.👍👍👍👍👍

This was in 2014, when they were all still really young. I think JK was 16? Just beginning their career, learning lots, working hard, living in a very small apartment, sharing one bedroom… Worried about their future as a group, being harassed by other fandoms, looked down on by other groups, And although in their book that just came out, Beyond The Story (a record of their last 10yrs) , they say it was an amazing and fun experience, and knowing it was an MNET variety show, this scene… this first episode, the kidnapping scene, not knowing any English (minus RM), just broke my heart. I’m older Army and a mom, and I just wanted to jump through the screen and scold those guys for scaring those kids like that! I was pretty mad. But once I put it into perspective, nah… still makes me grumpy. 🤷🏻‍♀️💜

I initially thought the kidnapping was unnecessary and didn't like the stereotype. However, I came to the conclusion that there was a very important lesson in this. Yes they were young, but to work in this industry and travel all around the world they need to know right away to always be aware of your surroundings. Seeing the idols they have become I'm certain that the experience stayed with them because people can literally come out of nowhere and try to do harm. I rather they learn that lesson in an controlled environment than from a real life experience.

I hated the kidnap section. JK was so young I think 15/16 so imagine if u had been kidnapped at that age and where u couldn't even speak English let alone understand what they were saying. People make fun of the fact that he was tearing up but that's just wrong on so many levels. .. sigh..

The domestic interviews are always so much better than the Western I think, because they can express themselves so much more in-depth and you get a lot of insights on their thoughts etc. Will leave you in peace now haha.
