They are not active as a group at the moment due to military service but they still continue to release solo contents. There are a few different versions of this song. The original is in Korean. That version also as a remix with Designer as a feature. The Steve Aoki Remix (this MV) is obviously the one they made the MV for and they rewrote the chorus in English. There are also extended versions with 1, 2, or 3 dance breaks that they prepared for different award shows.

The rap line has 3 talented rappers - JHope, the first rapper in this video who "came in crazy"; Suga (aka Agust D), the one whose "flow" you commented on; and RM, the ambulance rapper!!!! All 3 wtite the BTS songs; however, RM and Suga have written the most! All 3 have put out multiple solo works - mixtapes, albums!!!! My personal bias is Suga, especially his work under his alter ego, Agust D (Suga and [the Town of] Daegu, h7s birthplace spelled backward. Suga is short for Shooting Guard, the basketball position he played in high school. Start with his first mixtape Agust D's self titled song Agust D MV, as it has his second fastest rap. Then from his second mixtape, D-2, watch his MV Daechwita, which means a song played upon the king's arrival. He actually composed a traditional Daechwita into a contemporary sound used throughout the song and his flow switch is fabulous, and the MV is a mini movie!!!!! He plays a dual role in this video, which sets up his trilogy with 2 songs from his D-Day album, Haegeum and Amygdala. Haegeum, he reprises a dual role and uses a slightly different Daechwita. Haegeum has 2 meanings - a Korean instrument, but the 2nd meaning is what the song is about - the lifting of a ban on something forbidden. The Haegeum MV is another mini movie!!! Amygdala, represents his trying to face his fears and escape the pains of his past, as the Amygdala is that part of the brain that helps control these emotions. Big hint, Amygdala explains the origin of the scars on the faces of his characters in Daechwita and Haegeum!!!!! Everything, all the traumatic events, in Amygdala happened to Suga in real life! To be honest, the entire D-2 mixtape and his D-Day album are spectacular works. I love his lead self-titled song D-Day, it is fabulous!!!!! Also Snooze, featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto and WooSung is beautifully touching hip-hop song and I recommend the fanmade MV by elissssa!!!!

Fan of HxH? A man of taste, I see 👀 BTS is such a good group. They're extremely versatile and like to experiment with new sounds. All the members write, produce and compose - especially the 3 rappers (RM, SUGA and j-hope). They write meaningful lyrics with great production and make crazy good live performances. They started from a small, almost bankrupt, company in 2013 and became the biggest group in the world. All the members also have fantastic solo projects with very distinct styles. You can check from their solos: - RM: 'RM' (2015), 'mono.' (2018), 'Indigo' (2022) and 'Right Place, Wrong Person' (2024) - Jin: 'The Astronaut', 'Epiphany', 'Moon', 'Tonight', 'Abyss' and 'Awake'. He doesn't have an album yet - he didn't have time before his enlistement - but he's working on one - Agust D/SUGA in BTS: 'Agust D' (2016), 'D-2' (2020) and 'D-Day' (2023) - j-hope: 'Hope World' (2018), 'Jack in the Box' (2022) and 'Hope on the Street Vol.1' (2024) - Jimin: 'Face' (2023) and 'Muse' (will release this month) - V: 'Layover' (2023) - Jung Kook: 'Golden' (2023) 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band' is already out from Jimin's 'Muse'! If you want more energetic songs that say "fuck you" to the haters in a creative way there are many other songs that I would recommend. The rap line, consisting of SUGA, J-hope and RM (the guy that came out of the ambulance), have a series of four Cyphers that are really creative and fun to listen to and they GO HARD. There are also other energetic songs such as UGH! (rap line only again), (Burning up) Fire, Not Today and Dionysus. If you want to understand the lyrics (as they are in korean) I recomend you watch the lyric videos or videos of the MV with captions. There are many channels that (mostly) accurately translate the songs such as one called "Enjoy BTS More!". I also recommend you watch their live performances as they are INSANE. If you liked Mic Drop I'd also say you should check out SUGA's solo carrer as Agust D and his three mixtapes, Jhope's mixtapes and RM's mixtapes (He released a really cool one called "Right Place, Wrong Person" this May which was prerecorded before he enlisted into the military). All BTS members are in the military right now except Jin (the oldest one) and all of them are expected to reunite in June 2025.

Welcome to the wonderful world of BTS. 55 year old ARMY since early 2019. They all compose, write and produce as well as singing and/or rapping and play various instruments amongst them. I have seen a couple of recommendations for Taylor Mari’s Guide to BTS Members; The Bangtan 7 and I heartily agree. While it’s slightly outdated it’s still the best introduction to the group and the individual members. For individual songs I think you’ll like Fire, Dope, Silver Spoon UGH and ON; Kinetic Manifesto. For slower songs I recommend Save Me, Crystal Snow and Black Swan. Definitely put on English subtitles as their lyrics are fantastic. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

RM just dropped an album, Right Place, Wrong Person, a few weeks ago. My favorite songs from the album are Groin and Nuts, although the whole album is short-listed for best album of the year by critics. But all of BTS are 🔥🔥🔥! I would start with the rapline solo projects by RM, j-hope and Suga under his Agust-D persona if only because you will like the sound and/or recognize their collab artists.
