When it comes to Ghetts, he an animal that just evolves and gets better. His older track are HARD in every sense but over the last couple of years he has refined so much. First daily duppy is ridiculous The fire in the booth cypher Black rose Whole of conflict of interest especially little bo peep and skengman Also there is a set from early 2000s with Ghetts Kano and Skepta - Kiss 100 freestyle. If you want to know what grime is listen to that. Kano and ghetts are in a different realm

Yea Im seeing that with Ghetts since I watch that Doc he was a little man but now that im seeing more recent stuff I can truly see how much he grew and mastered the craft. I just did a black rose review and one of his daily duppys along with the FITB pt3 . FITB pt 2 got requested yesterday too. i need to listen to that album but the bo peep joint is in rotation for review already as well. However this Ghetts Kano and Skepta - Kiss 100 freestyle Ive never even heard of so I gotta add that one to the rotation too. Again my guy thank you without fans like yall I would never know where to go with some of these artist or there's just moments from the past that have happened that you kind of had to be there or grow u p on it to know about so its dope you guys can direct me to the sources.

Wretch is from North London and Kano is from east London. At the time this was recorded Wretch was considered to have the best FITB. Kano was saying it was his. Americans struggle with Kano. Wretch’s choices for his wordplay are more accessible to an international audience; like films and shit. Kano uses more English slang and local references that you’re not going to catch if you’re not from here.

That's the goal is to be able to hear it like a native. kano hasn't been that and for me at least. Locations and keeping the direction straight has been more difficult so far lol.

Bro, night night was not a good introduction to Kano P's & Q's (his breakthrough single in 2004/5 Teardrops 3 wheel ups Garageskank Whole of made in the Manor album Class of deja (ghetts and kano bar for bar) Whole of hoodies all summer Been listening to grime/UK rap since it started. The order is ghetts kano wretch. And dave will take 2nd spot after another body of work Just want to mention on subject of night night, at that time grime was not accepted in mainstream. Shutting club nights playing it etc. Kano was one of the first to release an album and to get it out it needed a commercial single. Mike skinner from The Streets was heavily influential at that time and Leo the lion did the hook. At that time it was a way in to present a single that would get radio play then people accept the artist so then the grime can follow. Without Kano, dizzee, wiley there is no scene. Ghetts came through Mike skinners tour 9 for Kano then they did a couple of tracks together leading to his start of his career

Added all suggestions to my rotation my g thank you very much for the list I really appreciate these. I've been listening to you guys since ukhiphop and DnB days thanks to my sisters husband. Since 2015-2016 I've really been listening and paying attention though. So there's a lot of culture and music I've missed that I'm really getting into now especially with these reviews. That's what I figured when I was watching that Movement doc a week or so back they mentioned Kano got a pass for his commercial music cause he pioneered the sound into a mainstream. That's really what I got from Nite Nite like it doesn't age well musically but if you know the history of the artist and what that record means to the scene and advancement of the sound you kind of gotta let it live and be as it is. I don't know enough Dizee(heard records and that little run he made in the states back in the day) but that's it. Wiley I really know from freestyles and clashes and lords of the mic I think is the name but I don't know his music that well. I have no idea who Mike Skinner is. Is he a artist or a show maker? I just got suggested some Ghetts kano records yesterday I didn't know Kano was the OG opening doors like this but its super dope to learn and makes more sense why when I see him speak he talks how he does he really was one of the first man up. Comments and stuff like this is why I love music so much to learn.

@@Jurnalist_ Mike Skinner was the front of a group called The Streets. He was like a spoken word white uk rapper/DJ that got some traction in the commercial space. With this he helped A LOT of artists like Ghetts Kano, rest of the movement as they were from the same areas. Dizzee was tge fiest grime MC to produce a real album (boy in da corner) which actually won him the Mercury prize. That album is still regarded as one if not the best grime album and that was 20yrs ago. Wiley sort of started the sound transitioning from garage to grime. He sort of put Dizzee on a platform to make the album taking him to pirate radio to start with. I think P's & Q's was the first track to chart that was from a grime MC, although Kano never wanted to be labelled as a grime MC which over the years you can see why. His music since those early days to hoodies all summer is completely different, so much meaning behind every single bar. Ghetts looked up to Kano to start with. He mentions in interviews and in his track autobiography how he helped him with his delivery and cadence which definitely shows. Kano is a master at delivery but since Kano has been in top boy and concentrating on acting, ghetts has been evolving into, in my opinion,the best to ever do it. Kano can take 4-5 years off the come back with an album and everyone says 'oh yes hes back with something to actually say'
