Hi Connor, a Sapper is a nickname for an Engineer, trained in explosives, Demolition, Boobytraps how build them, how to use them, how to lay mines, and how to clear them, there are also builders, electrical, plumbers, bricklayers all kinds of trades, they clear mine fields, build camps, Bridges, that kind of thing as well as providing humanitarian Aid to locals......

I should have said not only is Sapper a Nickname it is also the equivalent to the rank of private, Infantry=Private, Engineers=Sapper, Cavalry= Trooper all are the same rank...

Have you seen a series of films from the US National Archives channel called 'Know Your Ally'? They cover Britain, China and Russia and were produced to educate US servicemen in the differences they would encounter when shipped overseas. My 93 year old mother confirms that the one about Britain is 95% accurate. You may find it illuminating.

One pro tip: Use subtitles even if not nessecary, sometimes you miss something that might subtitles show. There is one flaw, auto subtitles are generated like you hear so they often get it wrong so be aware!

Sorry son,it’s been another lie. The commonwealth forces,along with the ussr won the Second World War. America turned up when no one bought any more boats and victory was assured for the allies. (Don’t even ask about ww1 your military was even more cowardly) good luck with Canada and Greenland 😂😂😂
